A/N: This is my favorite one so far. #3 and its called A Date. Not the greatest title ever, but still. Chad and Sonny are still oblivious to the fact that they just might like each other. And (EEP!) I heard in the newest episode that they just might realize their feelings for each other. Plus, Selena Gomez is in it! Yay! Well, that's what Wikipedia tells me. And I saw Night at the Museum 2...oh well. Here's your story.

A Date

I don't have a date. Those were the only words running through my head this morning when I got up. Normally, those words aren't sitting there in my mind, taunting me when I get up on a normal Sunday morning. They were sitting there because this wasn't just any Sunday morning. It was the morning of the Emmy's.

And I didn't have a date.

Now, if this was the Teen Choice Awards, I wouldn't care. But the Emmy's is one of those huge awards shows that everyone attends like the Grammy's or the Oscar's. And at these awards shows, you need a date.

And I didn't have one.

I couldn't figure out what I was going to do! Nico was going with Tawni, Grady was going with that girl from that gladiators show, and Zora had an excuse; she was eleven. I couldn't go with Nico or Grady, and I wasn't eleven. This left me with one option.

Chad Dylan Cooper.

And he probably had multiple dates! Meaning that I couldn't go with him! Suddenly, my phone rang.

"Hello?" I said into the receiver.

"Sonny? I need to ask you something." It was Chad. I couldn't believe Chad Dylan Cooper actually called me, asking for a favor of some sort.

"Um, okay? What do you need—wait!" I could practically hear him roll his eyes.

"What?"

"Am I being Punk'd?"

"What?" I could hear the incredulousness in his voice. "Being Punk'd? Sonny, am I seriously that bad?"

"No stuff Chad."

"Anyways, do you have a date to the Emmy's?" Was he asking me out?

"Why do you need to know?"

"Because maybe I don't have a date to the Emmy's." Where is he going with this?

"Chad Dylan Cooper is asking me out?" I said.

"No! Chad Dylan Cooper is asking you for a favor, not asking you out!"

"No stuff, Chad. I can hear it in your voice. You're asking me out!"

"No, I'm not, Sonny! You already said that!"

"Did I, Chad? Did I really?"

"Yes! Will you just be my date for tonight?"

"What's in it for me?"

"An amazing date with the awesome Chad Dylan Cooper?"

"No seriously Chad. What's in it for me?"

"Nothing."

"Then I won't be your date."

"No, Sonny! I'll do anything!" I raised my eyebrow in amusement, and I'm pretty sure he heard it.

"Anything? Like what?"

"I'll…buy you fro-yo for a week!" I clapped in delight.

"You'd better. I guess I'll be your date…but you'd better be nice or I'm spilling your little secret to the press." I heard him gasp.

"You wouldn't," he exclaimed darkly.

"I would," I countered.

"Bye Sonny."

"Bye Chad."

Victory is mine.
