How Severus Snape Should Have Ended
Harry watched Severus give him the memories, and understood the snitch. "I open at the close," he said, and saw Lily Potter appear.
Snape gasped, "Lily, I am about to see you again."
Lily smiled. "I always loved you, Snape. You were like my brother."
"I wish- I wish I hadn't been like I was to you… I've regretted it all of my life. When you died… I wanted to kill him. I wanted to kill Voldemort. But I was his supporter. Why?" asked Snape.
He fell back, dead.
Harry looked at his long-dead mother. "Did you really love him?"
Lily gave Harry a sad smile. "Always."
(A.N.- I'm sorry it's so short, it's just a small scene, but this is how I wish Severus Snape had, well, not died, because this didn't kill him, but what I wish had happened before he died. The Lily "Always" thing, it was supposed to be that she is admitting that she loved Snape and James equally, and she chose James because Severus hurt her.)
