It started off like all of the regular days in Canterlot, I was just a filly looking for my cutie mark. I was the last one in my class, the first one was the egg-head Clockswork. He was a nice mare, with light lavendare and dark violet mane – his coat was a beautiful shade of purple that matched his blind looking eyes. His cutie mark was a scroll and quill. Something I strangely suspected. Clockswork was always reading, shorting books, or writing a report on something or for somepony. Me on the other hand was the class clown.
I ways only noticed by somepony if I tripped over my own hooves and came hurddling past them and slamming into a tree. I was also always late to class, never on time for anything. I remember like it was yesterday how I befriended Clockswork. It was surprising that the egg head who was always serious about his work would notice this pony.
It was on Hearts and Hooves day, I was once again late for class. Everypony was talking in class when I came in through the door and tripped over my hooves, my wings flew out to try to slow down the impact. But it didn't, I went in flying into a pile of books. I heard laughing and slipped the book up so I could see. The only pony who wasn't laughing was Clockswork, his mouth was open and his glasses slip down his nose. I didn't know what to do or say, when I looked down at my hooves there was a card. It was to me. I looked up and around the room and noticed Clockswork run out of the room crying. I galloped after him.
When I found him he was looking at me with gaint eyes, I put the card in front to him. I had given him a weak smile and put my hoove on his shoulder. He smiled back at me, I never really noticed he had braces. He then gave me back the card as his tail sliently swooshed. I opened it, it was a friendly card and one asking me to be his special some pony for the day. I said yes. Strangley after that we have been friends since. The egg head and the klutz.
