I rolled over in the bed and rubbed my eyes. As they refocused I looked around and let out a soft sigh. I wasn't at home. I turned slowly and looked at the man laying next to me. He had dark brown hair cut short on top of his head. He had a goatee just forming and he looked peaceful. He opened his chocolate brown eyes and bit the inside of my lip.
"Hi there, honey." He said in a deep voice. He stretched his arms out and pulled me close against him. He smelt of leather and horses, a deep texan smell. "How did you sleep?"
"Alright." I rubbed my eyes and felt his hand on my cheek.
"Just alright?" He questioned, smiling. He laid his head back down on the pillow and met my eyes. It had only been the third date we had been on and I had miraculously fallen into his bed. So cliche.
"Yeah. Your bed isn't as comfortable as mine." I smirked and gently touched his chin, feeling the stubble against his soft skin.
"Well, I mean we can stay at your place next time if you want?" He questioned.
"Okay." I whispered. He smiled and kissed the top of my forehead. I heard his phone begin to ring and frowned slightly.
"Stokes." He said quickly and sat up. The sheet fell off his back and showed me the naked skin. I smiled at the tan color of it and sat up as well, grabbing my clothes and beginning to put them on. His voice trailed on and I couldn't help but feel the need for his voice. Something about it was calming yet so comforting.
"Hey." He whispered and kissed the back of my neck. "I have to go to work. You going to stay here for the day?"
"No. I should get to the office. I will see you later?" I questioned happily. He nodded and disappeared. I grabbed up my purse and cellphone and slid my sunglasses on. I made my way outside to my custom Jaguar F-Type. It had lime green round the dashboard and steering wheel. The color matched the outside and it was beautiful. I clicked the button and the top made a whirring noise before it went down. I looked back as the Texan stood there and smiled as I drove off.
