Ugh. I don't know where this came from, but my mind for some reason did this.

Doesn't make any sense, I know. But I decided I'd write it and post it.

I'm going to post it as a one shot for now; if I get good feedback, I'll possibly turn it into a story.

Anyways, review your thoughts or even PM me.

Enjoy!

She stood with her handguns aimed directly at him. They'd stood there like that for a few seconds, yet it felt like it'd been years. Too long for comfort.

"Move Larson." She said with demand laced through her voice, threatening him with the guns. Without the guns, she was warning him. Trying to save him.

He stood there, looking at her sternly. "You know I can't do that, Lara." His southern drawl slowly answered. He wouldn't move.

She replied back, stepping closer "This has nothing to do with you."

He smiled and answered "It doesn't have anything to do with you either. Look Lara, I know how bad you want this, but I can't let you through."

She frowned. She wanted him to step down, let her through. She didn't want to do this.

"Move, or you die, Larson." She said venomously, though she hoped he'd move.

Come on Larson, please!

He didn't smile as he said "What, you gonna shoot me? I just work here. You're not going to kill me."

She clenched her teeth. It doesn't have to be this way, Larson!

"That's just not who you are." He said, staring at her with his blue eyes. They looked through her; they knew she didn't want to kill him.

Larson, it doesn't have to end like this.

She bit her lip in thought. She'd killed men before Larson. Shot them down. She didn't like it, but it didn't cause this kind of internal turmoil. Inside, she knew he wouldn't give up. He wouldn't betray his employer. It wasn't his style.

But she prayed he would. She wished he'd let her through without her having to kill him.

It won't end this way, Larson. Not for you. Not for me.

She pointed the guns down at his feet and shot a few rounds at them, catching him off-guard. He jumped away in surprise. He looked up to see Lara's leg swinging at his head. He didn't have any time to react as it collided with the side of his head, making his head spin.

Black splotches filled his vision. 'Damn, I let her get the drop on me again!'

He peered up at her as she faded from vision slowly. "Maybe you're not far from the truth about me. I won't kill you. But I'm not going to let you get in my way."

She snatched his shotgun up and rolled him over lightly, pulling out the blue fuse she needed.

"Uh..." He moans as she stands over his body. He was going to lose consciousness soon. She smiles to herself and turns away, replying "See you around, Larson."

He watched her form fade, and chuckles to himself. "Damn..." He closes his eyes, losing the ability to keep them open.

So yeah. I don't know. Anyways, he does recover consciousness in time to make it out though, as you can guess. So he survives.

Please leave a review or even favorite it if you liked it that much.

And make sure to state whether it should just stay a one-shot.

See you around!
