A/N: Alrighty, so, this is gonna be my first Lost story. I already have a huge thing I'm writing for the Killjoys and MCR that I'm working on so I'm thinking this is just gonna be a one shot. There isn't gonna be any OCs (as I usually do).
This is in the last few episodes of season 3. If you haven't watched them, I highly suggest you do.
Okay? Enjoy, little kiddies... (although I am one too xD)
Whatever happens, happens
"HEY! FRECKLES!" Sawyer called to Kate as they walked down the path to where this mysterious 'radio tower' was. Everyone from Oceanic flight 815 that had survived the gruesome few months on the island anxiously strode near the river, praying for help to be at their fingertips.
Kate turned around to see Sawyer, presumably with his shirt off, standing before her. "Hi, James," she muttered. Things with Sawyer had been different ever since they had...
"You know, on that tape. The one Juliet brought back from the station? It said she was gonna check to see if you're pregnant," he awkwardly informed her. She shook her head, not understanding exactly what he was getting at. He made some strange hand motions, indicating that he was talking about birth.
"Right. What about it?"
He ran his fingers through his long, dirty hair. "Well... you wanna check with the Doc and see if..."
Kate rolled her eyes and shook her head, softly laughing. "You think I'm pregnant?"
Sawyer tried not to show any emotion but he nodded. "The last thing we need around here is a kid." Sawyer then analyzed what he had just said. He felt a twinge of guilt but didn't show any sign of it. Kate on the other hand, her face immediately dropped and she turned from rather flirty to disgusted.
"Why would it be such a bad thing if I had a baby?" she questioned, trying to see through his selfishness. Sawyer had a sudden interest in the jungle floor and dirt. He thought about Clementine, his own daughter, who he pretty much gave up. He wanted to see her. Badly. What if Kate had a child and they got off the island? Kate ain't pregnant with your kid, he thought, trying to get over the fact that the guilt he felt earlier was eating him alive.
"It'd ruin everything," he softly whispered. Kate grabbed her backpack off the ground and started walking ahead.
"WAIT, FRECKLES! Was it something I said?" he hollered after her. She turned back and gave him a look of demise.
"Whatever happens, happens," she breathed to herself.
