a/n: This is YET another songfic from me. I have a new obsession w/ them!!! It's also another Savage Garden one, and I have two more Savage Garden ones in the line after this (all songs from their debut 1997 album!). I dunno, a lot of their lyrics are just SO perfect for Zelda!! And they write them all themselves! This time I'm using the song "To the Moon & Back". And this is a songfic about the Skull Kid. And, by the way, I had to change all the "she"s to "he"s

To The Moon And Back

He's taking his time making up the reasons
To justify all the hurt inside
Guess he knows from the smiles and the look in their eyes
Everyone's got a theory about the bitter one
They're saying, "Mamma never loved him much"
And, "Daddy never keeps in touch
That's why he shies away from human affection"
But somewhere in a private place
He packs his bags for outer space
And now he's waiting for the right kind of pilot to come

The Skull Kid sat on a tree stump near the swamp. He had fought with his friends, and now he was all alone. No one wanted to be his friend. He supposed it was because he was so mischievous. But he never meant any harm with his tricks.

Got a ticket for a world where we belong

The Skull Kid laughed and fell in the bushes. He finally had found new friends in the fairies Tatl and Tael. They were always giggling and having fun together, and pulling tricks on that guy who always danced at midnight near Snowhead.

He can't remember a time when he had felt needed
If love was red then he was color blind
All his friends they've been tried for treason
And crimes that were never defined
He's saying, "Love is like a barren place,
And reaching out for human faith
Is like a journey I just don't have a map for"
So he's gonna take a dive
Push the shift to overdrive
Send a signal that he's hanging

The Skull Kid knocked the Happy Mask Salesman unconscious and the fairies laughed. Then he pulled out an odd looking mask with horns. He wanted this one. He put it on, and felt an overwhelming sense of power come over him.

The Skull Kid walked up to the funny kid in green. He looked over him to see if he had anything cool...ooo... he had a pretty blue ocarina. He played a few notes, and giggled. Little did he know what he was getting himself into...
