Everyone thinks Gibby Gibson is an idiot.
And hey, he can live with that. He just has to remind himself that people just aren't used to dealing with Gibby levels of awesome.
But while he's perfectly cool with people thinking that a love of liquid soap and removing his shirt constantly is synonymous with stupidity, the condescension that even his friends occasionally show him can get annoying sometimes.
Because Gibby Gibson isn't an idiot. And he has the test results to prove it.
Which means that he notices when the girl who has tormented him and his friend for years starts acting differently, even if he's eating tuna salad on a cow when it happens.
"You're asking if you can help us?"
Everyone, including Gibby, (what's in this tuna salad, it's fantastic) stares at Sam.
Wait a minute…wasn't she going to help Carly and me with our project? She said she was looking forward to electrocuting Spencer, didn't she?
Why would Sam want to help Freddie? Doesn't she hate Freddie? She wrote it on his birthday card and everything. And Gibby doesn't thinks he buys that crap about Sam thinking Brad and Freddie's mood face thing is interesting. When Gibby mentioned it to Sam yesterday, she had yawned and hit him with a frozen corn dog. Repeatedly.
Something doesn't add up here, and Gibby sucks at math.
Sam barely knows Brad, and she hasn't even hit him yet. That's weird. Five minutes after Sam had met Gibby, she had his face in a toilet. Ditto with Freddie. (His mom had gone nuts.) Sometimes girls act freaky because they like guys, right? Does Sam like Brad?
Freddie leans over and grabs Sam's shoulder. "Feels like Sam." Gibby waits for her to hit Freddie for saying that. For her to make some snide comment the way she would if Gibby had said that.
Nothing.
Freaky.
Sam's acting a lot nicer than usual, just so she can hang with Freddie and Brad at Freddie's house? (After all, that's where Freddie's mother is.)
Freddie's house.
Maybe the posters on all those iCarly forums Spencer pretends he doesn't read are right.
It's not Brad. It's Freddie. Sam likes Freddie. Either that, or the nice twin sister Spencer mentioned to Gibby once has taken Sam's place for the day.
Sam Puckett likes Freddie Benson.
Seddie.
He wonders what Carly will do when she finds out. Maybe she'll freak out. Spencer says she gets pretty scary when that happens. Maybe he should tell her—
Wait, why are the lights out? "Carly?" Where is everybody? He looks around the empty studio, and shakes his head, disgusted. They all left without him. They've forgotten about their Gibby.
He shrugs and goes back to his tuna salad ball.
Carly'll figure it out by herself eventually.
