The Proposal
Harry James Potter was sitting in his chair, he was fidgeting, as he always did when he was nervous. This was the night, he was finally going to propose to the love of his life, Ginny Weasley.
He was sitting in a restaurant in muggle London, he had chosen this location as he wanted to get away from the press, who constantly badgered him when he was in any wizarding location.
He looked at the watch that had been Fabian Prewett's and the engagement ring that had been Lilly Potter's, five minutes to seven, five minutes and Ginny would arrive.
Harry glanced around the restaurant, there were couples everywhere, 'This restaurant must be a really popular spot for romantic dates' Harry thought.
Ginny walked in to the restaurant, she was wearing a dress that went down to her knees, in royal blue, her flaming red hair perfectly straight reaching halfway down her back.
Harry stood up, Ginny walked over to him, they greeted each other with a kiss on the cheek, Harry held Ginny's chair for her and then sat back down, they made small talk as they looked at the menu.
They finished with their menus and placed an order with the waiter, Ginny having a grilled chicken breast with salad, and Harry having a well-cooked steak with chips, Harry ordered a bottle of wine for them to share.
Whilst waiting for their dinner, Harry non-verbally cast Muffliato around them so that they could speak about each other's jobs.
"So how are things with the Harpies?" Harry asked
"Gwenog is making us work even harder with the big game against the Tornadoes coming up, how is it at the auror office?"
"Well Minister Shacklebolt hinted to me today that I could be in line for becoming the head of department after Mr. Robards retires next month."
"Harry! That's fantastic!"
"I know Gin, but if I get the job, Ron is going to quit and go to work with George."
"Why?"
"He said he couldn't stand me being his boss as we've been best mates since our first year at school."
"Oh." was all Ginny could say, but she was cut off by their dinner arriving.
After they had finished their dinner, Harry discreetly slipped out the deluminator that he had borrowed off Ron and his mother's old ring making sure Ginny wouldn't see and took out all of the light in the room, instinctively, Ginny grabbed Harry's hand, he told her not to worry and turned the lights back on.
As Ginny's eyes readjusted to the light, everyone was staring at her, but she couldn't see Harry, yet she was holding his hand, she followed his arm to find him on one knee, she realised what he was about to do, and her hands came to her mouth as she gasped, tears forming in her eyes.
"Ginevra Molly Weasley, These past few years have been the best of my life, would you do me the honour of making me the happiest man in the universe, and marry me?" Harry said sliding the engagement ring that had been his mother's on to Ginny's Finger.
"Yes!" Ginny half shouted "Yes, I will," the tears streaming down her face.
