Your Worst Enemy

Chapter One

"Ginny, darling," Mrs. Weasley cooed as she sidled into Ginny's room with a basket of bedding and her wand aloft. "Time to get out of bed. It's nearly 9:00."

"Are Hermione, Ron and Harry back from Surrey yet?" Ginny mumbled as she crawled out of bed. She has been doing this ever since the day after they got back from Hogwarts. So far, they've been gone for two weeks. She slumped into the bathroom across the hall.

Mrs. Weasley stayed in the room and called out, "Ron's come home. He says the other two should be here within two days. They had to get Hermione's things. He's upstairs resting right now. Apparently they didn't get much sleep at Harry's aunt and uncle's house."

A minute or so later, Ginny returned with her face washed and hair back. She turned on her stereo and Natasha Beddingfield's 'Single' boomed out of it. Her mother walked over to it and turned it three-quarters of the way down. "I've told you before: you can have those muggle things if you keep them down. Stop blasting them or I'll take them away!"

She sighed and said, "Alright, Mum!" She walked over to her closet, thinking of the nasty curses she's like to use at this moment. Until she saw that her mother had magicked up another bed under hers to form a bunk bed. She was adding sheets with her wand when Ginny asked, "If Hermione's not coming for a few days, why are you putting up the extra bed? And with Ron's old sheets?" Mrs. Weasley's smile faded a bit, and she straightened up.

"We're having a guest," she said without emotion in her voice and left.

"Well, obviously I knew that! Not much a help," Ginny mumbled as she chose her clothes. After five minutes, she decided on a camouflage tank top, jeans ripped at the knees and a camouflage cap. Then she went to take a shower. It took her around a quarter of an hour to get clean. After which she put on her clothes, braided her hair in two ponytails and added some makeup to her face. She might've put on a little more than usual because she wanted to look nice for the guest.

When all ready, a half an hour had passes. They only problem was that she couldn't find the shoes she wanted. Ginny walked down the steps and into the kitchen where she asked Mrs. Weasley, "Mummy, have you seen my green sandals?"

"I thought I saw them by the fireplace," she replied, bustling away. "I'll go get them for you."

As she went off to get them, a drawling voice mocked her, "You still call her 'mummy,' eh? I thought that you, being almost 16 would've stopped that long ago. I know I did!" She didn't even have to turn around to know who it was.
