On Mt Doom utter confusion was at bay. Sam desired to make his master proud of him, to be the one to swipe the burden of the ring from Frodo. He was going to demolish the ring. He knew that in the bewilderment Gollum had bitten Frodo's finger to obtain the ring. All he had to do was thrust the broken Gollum into the mountain and it would be finished. So with his eyes full of smoke he stumbled his way through and arms extended he searched. They came in contact with something and without thinking Sam collected his power and drove forward. And only then did light draw through the smog telling Sam what he thought was the snivelling Gollum was actually his devoted compatriot Frodo. Pain blazed through him as he watched powerless, as his companion, who he had aided all this time plunged into the unknown. Sam caught the desperate look on Frodo's face, full of fear as he fell into the blaze. Releasing what he had just done Sam fell to the floor and was nauseated with anguish. Thus was the end of Frodo.

After the tragic events Sam lost all signs of life. Gollum after requiring his precious again he wanted new power and set of the meet Sauron. He knows power and the ring was too strong for him. He disliked Sauron very much but revenge was strong in his heart. It was weighing him down but as they got nearer and nearer Mordor's centre it realised its jurisdiction on the ones touched by it. Smeagol as now he called himself became more like his real self more pernicious. Many had tried to stop him but as they heard his tale and saw the ring they recoiled and said no more knowing the power of the ring. The journey was hard and long but with no real events many an ork wondered why Smeagol kept a Hobbit all ways by his side.
Sam was all ways looking for away out still not thinking properly, in a trance he could not accept what he had done. In his sleep he muttered about Frodo and still acted as if it was a bad nightmare. He watched as Smeagol collected followers with no real interested. He had no idea why Smeagol had kept him on but he thought no more of it and played his life like a rag doll. As they approached the heart of Mordor something like fear stirred in him and he regained his clutch on life. They were marching at a swift pace and they watched in the distance the large black towers draw nearer. An orc called Blockug spoke quietly to Smeagol.
"Do you see it sire?" He spoke with respect.
"Yes, do you thing they know of my coming?" Answered Smeagol.
"You are widely known of and if Sauron hasn't heard by now I would be greatly surprised."
"Very well then send two forward to meet then!"
The orc turned and pushed a young orc into action, he and a friend set of at a run to meet the oncoming party of which looked like horse men.
"Well my precious you shall be gone soon and I will have what I rightly deserve and those nasty hobbites will pay for what they did to me but not my Sam I need him precious." He had be mumbling like this allot and the ones who heard him didn't pay much attention. "I meet him and then I will get Hobbiton like all those years ago I should have got but no they took it and now they pay. Yes pay." All the time while they approached Sam heard him muttering and laughing to himself not knowing why.
