A/N This was originally going to be posted as a second chapter to Not A Day Goes By, but I thought it was too different, so I posted it as a new story.

Remy is waiting for me, just as I knew she would be. When I opened my eyes, she was standing a few feet away, clad in her favorite grayish-purple shirt, jeans, and her leather suspenders. She smiled at me, and I realized that she looked as she did before her Huntington's set in. I ran towards her, and crashed into her, wrapping my arms around her neck. We fell to the ground, but I didn't feel any pain. I sat in her lap, sobbing uncontrollably into her shoulder. "Shhh," she hushed me. "I'm not going anywhere. We're fine. We're safe. There's no more Huntington's to take me away."
"I missed you so much," I told her, when I'd stopped crying enough to speak.
"I know. It's ok. We get to be together for the rest of forever," she whispered, still trying to calm me down.
"Remy, come on we have to meet…" Kutner trailed off, as he walked closer, and noticed me. "Cameron? Why are you here? You shouldn't… but you're only like," he paused, thinking, " thirty-four."
I smiled. "Kutner, I was thirty-four about twelve years ago."
"But still, you're too young to be dead."
"I got sick," I stated, as though it was obvious.
"Sick? With what?" Remy asked.
"TB." I winced slightly at the shock that crossed Remy's face.
She let go of me, so that she could face me properly. "But, they could have cured you. You could have lived another twenty years, at least!" she exclaimed.
"Yeah, I know. But I didn't want to. This is the first time I've been happy since you died, Rem. I wouldn't have survived another two decades alone."
"Hey, Remy, I really hate to interrupt your guys' reunion, but you know how Amber gets if we're late."
I looked at Kutner in shock. "Wait, Cutthroat- I mean, Amber's here?"
"Yeah," Remy replied, standing up and offering me her hand. "She gets really pissed off if we're late when she invites us to hang out." I looked at Kutner and Remy in shock. Surely they were pulling my leg. I had never known either of them to get along with Amber. However, just as I was about to call them out on their joke, Amber came stomping up.
"Kutner, Thirteen, where have you…" she trailed off, just as Kutner had done. "Dr. Cameron?"
"Um, hi. How are you?" I asked, feeling awkward. I was pretty certain the only words I'd ever really said to her, was the time she came looking for a consult, trying to kiss up.
Amber just looked at me. "Well, I guess we should call off our plans, and show Dr. Cameron around." With that, she turned, grabbed Kutner's hand, and dragged him off, not even waiting to see if we'd followed.
I looked at Remy incredulously. She just shrugged, took my hand in hers, and said, "Come on. If we don't follow, Amber will be mad for weeks."
A/N Not my best, but I couldn't bear to leave Not a Day Goes By off on such a sad note.
