Own Nothing.

One-shot.

She walked around the bookstore, checking out what the new book club books were out. Ray had book club, but that doesn't mean she couldn't still read book club books. Tomorrow she had a free day and a good book was just want she needed. She didn't have any patients coming in at all. The kids were at their dad's, so she got to be alone. She dreamed of a long bubble bath and a good book followed by tv and an early bedtime.

Well, that was what she dreamed. It was a hopeless cause when she saw Nico in the line in front of her. She groaned, a book in her hand, the same book he had. It took her twenty minutes to figure out book she wanted, only to see Nico having the same book.

She knew that he heard her, the groan was pretty loud. He turned to look at her, eyebrow raised. She gave him a small wave and he nodded back. He turned back around to check out the book, finishing after a couple minutes and stepped over to the coffee shop.

She followed soon after, she really just wanted to walk out, get an early start on her great day tomorrow with a glass of wine. But that look he gave her, she had to sit down across from him. "I got you french vanilla coffee."

"I actually prefer tea from this place, but coffee's good." She smiled, taking a sip from her cup. She watched him over the lid, as he took a sip of his. "We got the same book."

"It appears we did. I didn't see you in the section, you must've gotten your copy from the book club area."

"I did." She leaned back against her chair.

"I thought you lost book club." He smirked, watching her.

"I did." She nodded. "I have a free day tomorrow, going to get some reading in. Might be a long time with all the clients you're finding me."

"Maybe you should make your own book club." He stated, sipping his coffee.

"Oh, and who would join?" She joked.

"I would. We seem to have the same taste in books." He nodded towards the two copies of paperback books on the small round table. "And you're coffee choice is decent."

"So it's just my taste in men that's bad." She smirked, she remembered the date he picked her up from.

"Not your friends, just dating wise." He gave a small smile. "And your mother likes me."

"Because you can hold your own in a game of poker against her." Dani laughed a little. "I remember her coming over after she lost against you."

"I have a very good poker face." He smiled. "So book club?"

"We can start tomorrow if you're serious." Dani picked up her book and her coffee, standing up.

"What time do you want me there?" He asked, standing up himself.
