Every chance she had. Every time when she wasn't out being a public, she came here. She came to the castle in Kiamo Ko. She came to mourn and remember her best friend; Elphaba Thropp, more popularly known as The Wicked Witch of the West.

Glinda missed her so much. The one true friend she had ever had, was gone for good. And it was all her fault. If she weren't so shallow and self absorbed, Elphaba might still be alive. She sank to the floor, sobbing loudly.

"Oh, Elphie, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry" Glinda heard something, a soft flutter, kind of like the swishing of a cloak. She stood up. "Who-who's there?" she looked around.

And she saw a flash of green.

No it can't be her thought Glinda.

"Elphie…Elphie is that you?" she asked timidly.

"Glinda, what the hell are you doing here?" asked Elphaba, walking towards Glinda.

"Mourning the death of my best friend, that's what the hell I'm doing!" yelled Glinda, her body shaking.

"Glinda, shut up! I'm sorry I never told you, I wanted to. But-but Fiyero said it was too dangerous" Elphaba had started to pace back and forth.

"Fiyero's alive?" asked Glinda, who was following Elphaba's every movement.

Elphaba stopped pacing. "Yes. Do you remember the Scarecrow?"

"Of course, but what does he have to do with…" and then realization hit her. "The Scarecrow was Fiyero" Glinda placed her hand on her forehead.

"Yes, he was, I tried to save his life, and I did. It just didn't work the way I planned it to" Elphaba suddenly felt as though she couldn't look Glinda in the eyes.

"Does-does he know you're alive? Does he know you're here?" Glinda made a move to grab Elphaba's arm, but stopped.

"Yes and no" said Elphaba, not daring to look Glinda in the face.

"Elphaba what happened?" she asked, placing her hand upon an emerald cheek.

Elphaba looked at Glinda, but she still avoided meeting her eyes. "Nothing happened Glinda…I don't him and I never did"

"But you told me-" Glinda began to say.

"Forget what I said! I lied Glinda, okay I fucking lied! I lied to you and I lied to Fiyero!" she turned around quickly and started to pound the stone walls with her fists.

"So you didn't love him. So who did you love? What was his name? Do I know him" she said, grabbing Elphaba's arms.

"Glinda…oh damn how can I put this? Glinda, it isn't a man I'm in love with" she started to run her fingers through her hair.

"It isn't a man…hold on Elphie, does that mean?"

Elphaba nodded.

"Elphie, you're a lesbian?" Glinda put her hand on her mouth.

Elphaba nodded again.

Glinda suddenly burst out laughing.

"Don't laugh at me Glinda! This is hard for me, you and Fiyero are the only people who know" she folded her arms across her chest.

"Elphie, I'm not laughing at you. I'm just happy for you" she hugged the emerald witch. And suddenly felt a spark within her.

Elphaba felt that same spark.

"You're happy that I like other women?" a very confused Elphaba asked, raising a dark eyebrow.

"No, silly, I'm happy you still trust me enough, after all these years and all the lies I told you…to tell me something like this" she rested her head upon the cloak covered shoulder, feeling very content.

"I- thank you Glinda" she said, finally returning the embrace.

For the first time since their reunion, Elphaba looked into Glinda's blue eyes, and she felt her heart leap.

"Elphie?" Glinda lifted her head from Elphaba's shoulder. Their faces were now almost touching.

"Y-yes" the green woman's heart was pounding in her chest and she thought it might beat out.

"Kiss me" the smaller woman demanded.

And Elphaba kissed her.
