Sunpaw rolled over in the apprentice den, knocking into Pebblepaw. The young tabby was a golden yellow color, the tip of his tail was a bright orange. He was small in stature but persistant and curious.

Pebblepaw nudged Sunpaw. She was a pale white with grey speckles. Her eyes were an dull blue that looked a smoky grey in the shade. She stood up, she had a broad chest and sturdy legs and she was always full of fight.

Sunpaw rolled over again lazily.

"Sunpaw! Get up! Dewstone won't be happy if we're late again," Pebblepaw meowed crossly.

Sunpaw yawned and looked sleepily up at Pebblepaw. He stretched and slowly rose. "Hm?"

Pebblepaw huffed and started out the den, Sunpaw following slowly behind.

Outside, it was warm morning. A chill breeze occasionally blew past in the Sedimentary Clan base. The cliffs above glowed with the radiance of the sun from the small gap in the top of the mountain in which the clan dwelled. Pebblepaw inhaled and smiled.

"Today is going to be a great day!" she said with enthusiasm. Unfortunately, Sunpaw couldn't feel Pebblepaw's enthusiasm. He lumbered toward his mentor, Dewstone.

Dewstone looked at the apprentices, his face in a scowl. Dewstone was a blue, grey colored tom with white stripes down his back and tail. Three light grey dots lay underneath his right eye, which showed his rank in the camp. Three dots meant Warrior. Pebblepaw and Sunpaw had two dots underneath their eyes, showing they were Apprentices.

"You were close enough to be called late, Sunpaw and Pebblepaw," Dewstone snapped. His amber eyes switched between the two apprentices. He turned toward the entrance of the base, which was shrouded by vines and rocks.

"Come along, we're going to be stalking rabbits."
