Chapter I
The first thing Lena noticed was that she was dreaming. There were small children, maybe between the ages of 3-9, playing near the arcade games, sitting at those long tables stuffing their little face with pizza, or just running around for fun, despite their parents' objections. In front of Lena was a two layer chocolate cake with bright red frosting with three candles on top along in thin pink frosting spelling 'Happy 3rd Birthday Lena'.
"Come on, Lena Bema!" pipes her 7-year-old sister Gracie. "Blow the candles out."
Her heart sank at the sight of Gracie. She hasn't seen her elder sister in over 25 years. Not since her 3rd birthday.
Gracie tugs on the edge of the Lena's t-shirt, her bright gray eyes growing bigger and wider. "Lena, I'm starving!"
"Okay," Lena whispers, lowing her face towards the cake. As she was about to blow out the candles, there was this horrible crunching sound. Actually it had more of a wet sloppy sound to it. Either way it was still a horrible thing for any child to see. Lena snaps her head up from the birthday cake, gasping at the sight before her. One of the security guards that was near Pirate Cove was lying face down on the floor. His face was deathly pale and covered in dark red blood. She looks up at Foxy, seeing chucks of brain matter in his mouth.
Lena slowly moves backwards until she felt something cold and hard pressing against her back. She quickly turns around. There stood Bonnie the purple rabbit with black demonic like eyes. Small trails of blood was leaking out his eye sockets and mouth and had this odor of death lingering. He reaches out with his damaged hand. There was this human groaning coming from his mouth, even though it wasn't moving.
"Save them…" He groans.
"Save them?"
Bonnie appearance began to shift. His purple color began to take on an olive/yellowish tone and slowly his metal suit began to break down. Those black eyes soon began to glow bright, almost in a blinding white.
"You can't…" And then Bonnie began to literally rip off his own head.
Lena woke up screaming in her bed. She pants and breathes hard until her conscious was telling her it was merely a nightmare. The room was uncomfortably hot due the humid air and closed windows and Lena was somewhat sweaty. Lena, feeling slight fatigue, got up to open her window, greeted by more hot and humid air. Frustrated because her air condition was broken and had to wait till the morning to get it fixed, Lena heads into her bathroom.
She looks into the mirror, staring at her image. Her black hair was in a complete mess, her thin lips chapped, her eyes slightly dark and hollow from lack of sleep with a haunted look on her face.
"Why?" She spoke in a low voice. "Why am I having these nightmares?"
It was weird. She hasn't had a nightmare like this since Gracie disappeared. These nightmares were nearly happening every night for the past few weeks. And they were all the same: Her 3rd birthday party, the security guard, people screaming, Gracie…
'It's me…'
Lena jumps at the sound of the inhuman whisper. It was another part of her nightmares. Opening the cabinet, she took a couple of Lexapro pills and turns on the sink for water. Closing the cabinet, she was expecting to see her own reflection.
Only it wasn't.
What stood in, as her mirror reflection was a very withered looking Bonnie. His skin tone was like a rotting yellow color, part of his ear was missing with wires sticking out, blue and red wires were sticking out everywhere and his eyes were almost human like. His face had a disturbing grin on it.
'I am still here.'
