The sound of bomber sirens could have been heard from a mile around the city, evacuations had started but would never be finished. I heard the cries of everymon as the silver plane glided across the air, it was time, and they all knew it.
We all started running as the plane grew closer, some went in a state of shock and couldn't move, and others tripped and fell. But not me, all I did was run, the ash and soot of war rose in the air as the crowds ran by, soon to vanish in the carnage to follow. And when it did, it all went white.
"Get up," I could hear a distant voice call, through a raging sound that appeared to be getting louder with every waking second. The voice repeated itself again, and I could only just make out that it was one of my guards, and when I opened my eyes. The carnage was on a scale of such unimaginable force that it would kill anymon within a 100 kilometer radius.
A large mushroom cloud that would increase in height every second lay in the middle of it all, with an ever expanding blast radius around it.
Pokemon weeping and crying as a limb or more had been blown off, with blood strewn across the tarmac as if a firetruck had coated it.
I was lucky myself that I remained in one piece, unlike most. I arose from my position as my guard was shouting in my ear, but yet I couldn't hear him as a noise was blocking it out, the cloud came closer, along with the noise.
It was so loud, and the force so strong. All were scattered across the road as we were hit, I saw many die, along with my guard, cut in half by a flying piece of shrapnel. A car slammed into a group of three near me, one of which had been impaled by the door of that car. Another had unluckily been in direct exposure to the blast and had been stuck in place by a pole that had torn through their torso. Their flesh torn away as the heat continuously rose and fell.
"Hallo," i croaked, still recovering from exposure to radiation, "is anymon out there." I asked again, wondering whether I would get a response or not, "Please, help." somemon replied from a few meters away, I crawled over to find a wigglytuff clutching a pink ball.
I realized what it was, her child, mutilated from the blast, I could see the tears growing in her eyes, she knew what I was going to say. But I never said anything.
She started crying, there were other noises of misery off in the distance too, I wish I could help them, but I didn't know how. The sound of ambulances grew, far off in the distance, knowing that they would bring freedom and sanctuary for me I forced my aching legs to stand and started to hobble over to them.
The ambulances stopped a few hundred meters down the road, their sirens blaring as they did, the sound of voices came from there, "Hallo, are you alright." One of them asked, I couldn't tell but I assumed that it was me they were talking to, "I am fine danke, but you should probably help some of the others," I replied with an unsteady voice, something about them was strange.
It wasn't how they looked but was more the fact they weren't helping any of the civilian population, but were merely helping military personnel only. One of them came over here helping me along on my unsteady feet. "Why are you not helping any other mon except military," I asked, purely wondering what their response would be.
"Orders are to help military only, its sad though, that we are not allowed to help, I feel cruel doing this, seeing their sad faces as we just stand and watch." I could tell that they were telling the truth though, the expressions on their face made it obvious, but it still puzzled me, who would be so cruel. So cruel to let their people starve and die, bleed out and commit suicide, just so they didn't have to suffer.
"Who sent the orders," I asked, curious to find out who the bringer of suffering was, and who were so cruel. "The Fürer himself." The drive to Berlin took what felt like forever, it was very quiet too as nomon was eager to talk about their experiences, and their suffering.
But when we got there, it only proved as to how cruel the Fürer was. Walls the height of those you would find on maximum security prisons, and anti aircraft guns scattered across the city, the question was, how much did mien Fürer really care for us.
"Guten tag, survivors, I assume you would all be thinking by now, why I have brought you all here, well, the thing is you are the survivors of the first strike. We will now conquer the world and make Wolfenstein a reality, except for us dying and all that, so, for Deutschland." Adolf Hitler said.
No one ever argued with him, for the punishment would be fatal, the raichu was brutal when defied. "Why didn't you help the civilians." a riolu asked from within their ranks, "you could have helped them, but you didn't, why do we even follow you when you don't even care for us. Why should we put up with you?"
He had chosen the wrong words, to the wrong mon. "Gather everymon to the city center, it appears we might be having a public execution, in order to tell them they follow me, and me alone." He whispered to his secretary.
I only heard because I was standing right in front of him, and also, he doesn't whisper very well.
A moment later the speakers crackled and then turned live, a female voice spoke into the microphone, "all personnel report to the square for a public execution." Fear lit up in the defyers eyes as he realized what was soon to happen, they attempted to run, but three guards were upon then spontaneously, pinning them down.
"Is somemon trying to escape, trying to flee my sight before i am done with them, well then, I will just have to be extra brutal." The fear had set into the riolu's eyes as the old raichu talked to them. the rest of us just watched, knowing better than to get between them, reflecting shock and fear back.
"Everymon of Berlin, today we have a special guest, the defyer," Adolf stepped back, letting three armed guards with a hostage walk to the front of the stage. "Here we have somemon who thought my judgement was scheisse and dumkopf, they thought that it didn't matter what I said, so they defied me." Adolf said, with disappointment in his voice, as if a child had stolen a cookie from the cookie jar. In order to make the riolu feel guilty.
"This is what happens to those that disappoint me, offend me, and defy me." He pulled out a whip the black leather glistening under the light of the winter sun, the two guards on either side grabbed a hand each and tied it to a pole on each side of the riolu, and the third guard removed their shirt.
The whip fell, as blood started flowing from their back Adolf pulled up the whip again and again, until the floor was soaked with blood, you could smell the crimson liquid from a few meters away, as the crowd watched, with uncontrollable fear in their eyes.
The whip fell again, piercing the lung, as his scream fell upon the silent crowds, the fear the riolu was showing did not give his attacker any mercy, as it only fueled their hunger for torturing and murdering.
They began pleading, as more blood oozed out of the wounds on their back as the whip continuously pierced their back. Adolf hesitated, and stopped, as the final strike was blown, tearing out a small hunk of bloodied flesh.
They had stopped crying now, but had begun to mindlessly star in my direction, I stared back, looking into the deep sunken eyes of the victim, seeing the black of their pupils as the noose was tightened around their neck.
And then the floor beneath them gave way.
After a few minutes of pointless squirming their body went limp, the crowds started departing at that point as it were over, for now at least.
I was held up at the end along with another, an Espeon we briefly looked awkwardly at each other and then at the Fürer, he was looking at us with pride, presumably from his murdering. "Schwazki, here is your new assistant, Georgia, you two will be headed to the battle of Paris, you will meet up with other groups there and I hope to hear good news soon."
With that he left, the three guards tailing him holding the corpse as they left, I looked at the Espeon Georgia, and she looked back. I could see her blushing while looking at me, and attempting to hide it. I didn't really care though so I walked away, with her falling in sink behind me, as we headed toward the plane that would take us to the victory of Paris.
The plane battled the heavy downpour as it headed to the invasion of Paris, deafening sound came from the engines which was luckily hidden by the sound of rain as we entered the french airspace. Below you could hear the gunfire, and shells from artillery and tanks.
The paratroop doors opened on the plane and we grabbed a parachute, "Alright everyone, when down move to HQ immediately, we will regroup there." I hoped that they could hear me over all the noise and if they couldn't, well their in deep scheisse.
All the troops nodded after i had finished in order to let me know that they heard me, and started jumping single file. I looked over at Georgia, and she had a look of fear on her face, showing that she had never been a paratrooper before.
"All you have to do is pull this string and the parachute will pop out." I said to her, she nodded to me and said nothing, "Just don't freeze is all or else you will fall to your death, and make a hell of a mess on impact, maybe even fall on someone."
That only made it worse, as she looked even more afraid.
A sudden jolt came out of nowhere as the left wing tore off, colliding with one of the paratroopers, cutting the strings between them and the parachute. They fell, screaming as they did.
"Georgia, we gotta jump now before the plane tears itself apart," she nodded, with as much fear in her eyes as there was in the riolu's. I jumped, pulling the string after 100 meters of falling, Georgia shortly followed behind me. There was a loud explosion above as shrapnel from the plane fell.
"Scheisse," I said as one of the pieces tore through the parachute, increasing my falling speed. My falling rate quickened, as I directed myself toward the river that was not too far away. I heard screaming from others as holes tore in their parachutes, but I remained silent, a straight face full of confidence as the impact shifted the bones in my legs.
My right leg dislocated, as I flailed in the cold winter water of Paris, attempting to swim to shore. I could feel the cold draining the life from my body as I started to sink, as I became colder and colder, until I drowned.
I came back with surprise on my face when I saw an Espeon on top of me, giving me CPR, I couldn't move or see very well at that point. I would try to move my arms but nothing would happen, I couldn't even shift my eyes.
I could see the Espeon hugging me, crying, as she did, "You can get off of me now," I said unsteadily. This only made her cry even more as she replied, "Don't ever do that again." This only proved that she truly cared for me, but I didn't really car for her though, that was the thing.
I had said to myself at the beginning of the war that i wasn't going to get attached to anymon, for all I would feel is pain when they would pass.
"Are you ever going to let me go, we need to head to base before the invasion." With that she let go and wiped her tears away, before we were being shot at. I pushed her low to the ground and equipped my mp40 maschenwehr, aiming it in the direction of the bullets, I crawled forward, Georgia following as always.
I saw our gunners as they saw us, it was a matter of seconds before they would know what is happening, and i fired, the first of the three fell, clutching their torso as they did. Bleeding out on the road.
The second and third dived for cover, retreating behind a wall of sandbags, but not in time, the second I massacred with my knife as they were closer, as the third aimed their gun at me.
The third died, decapitated by a friendly sniper, blood filled the streets, along with the smell, of victory and death.
"Why didn't you help, Why did you just stand there watching. Why do you never do anything but watch in fear? If you truly like me, then why stand around and watch as I die?" I had not raised my voice, but merely spoke to her calmly, it made her uncomfortable, the tone of voice and admittance.
"I didnt know what to do, I have never shot a bullet in my life, I was afraid." The Espeon spoke with pure fear in her voice, and a look of regret on her face, she at least knew that she did something wrong. "How could you join the army if you haven't ever shot a bullet in your life," I asked, curios as to what the answer would be.
"I changed the grades."
Soz i made some changes such as linking the three paragraphs together because after reading other stories they seemed extremely short. Also sorry to those that already read it and found many grammatical errors, as you cant do the right click thing on a chrome book or a phone, for now i will resume writing as i now have an ASUS Predator (as i have been told as to what it is.) But for now enjoy as i will resume writing.
