Prologue

The two siblings jump over logs and dodge between trees, the two sisters were trying to escape from their home or more specifically, their father. A home is usually a safe place to be, but for these two pups, their home was a prison cell. Filled with beating and harsher punishments that are only behind your imagination. They were living in a nightmare and they both had enough of it. Elsa, the youngest sister, was beginning to get tired from about 2 hours of straight running, as for Céline she was only focused on escaping their father's paws. Céline, the oldest sister, was now beginning to question her sister's stamina. Céline could tell because her sister was starting to drag her feet and slow down her running pace, and worst of all, their pack was only kilometres behind them. Their pack was gaining speed faster than the two siblings had intended.

"Céline!" Elsa shrieks as she stumbles over a large tree root, in the ground, twisting her ankle in the process.

"El, are you okay?" Céline offers a hand for her to take but instead Elsa flicks it away. Then she attempts to stand but just crumbles back down, like an apple crumble.

"C, go without me, go live a better life that you deserve." Tears started to spill down her eyes, as soon as that happened, she quickly wiped them away. "I cannot heal fast enough; my ankle seems to be fractured. I am still too young to do what you can." She pleads quite dramatically, while holding her hand up to her forehead and sighing. Elsa felt as if in all this time, she was pulling back her sister and forcing her to stay behind instead of leaving when she was brought to the pack. Two years ago, Elsa was abducted by the sister's Father, closely after her 5th birthday and when her mother had died, all so suddenly. Céline had the chance, two years ago, to leave her pack and Elsa as a child. But Céline took pity and decided to stay behind and raise Elsa when nobody else did. Céline was selfless and brave however those two qualities always got her into trouble with her pack and father.

There was also another being with the two sisters, and that was Willow. Willow, the whole time was with them. Willow was not a person, Willow was actually Céline's wolf. In a way, Willow was living inside of Céline, unless she decided to shift into wolf form. Then Céline would be inside of Willow because Willow would be in control. Willow could obviously tell that their pack was closing in on. In the town, that the sisters grew up in, they were surrounded by all of the pack members. Their pack name was called The Savagers pack, and whether the sister's liked it or not, that was their only family they had left. Céline's was most of the time… hopeless at controlling her wolf, she had never had wolf training at her pack because nobody bothered to ever help her. Her eyes had now change colour from a greyish blue to now a violet colouring.

"No, I am not leaving you Elsa!" Céline cries as her wolf begins to take control, it takes all Céline's strength to settle Willow down but, it however was not enough for the 17-year-old to handle. "We are in this together and myself nor Céline would ever leave you because you are hurt. I will carry you." Willow orders Elsa while yelling impatiently.

"Willow you can't! You will overdo it like last time, you cannot stay in that form!" Elsa begs, while still clutching her ankle.

"I know that Elie just give me a moment to shift." Willow always gave people nicknames, whether it was like calling Elsa- Elie or if it was like calling someone after what they did or ate. Céline and Willow once knew a girl from their pack, that was obsessed with eating sushi all the time, that they started to call her exactly that, Sushi. Either way, it was still a bad habit of Willow's and Céline always encouraged her to stop but she never listened and continues to do that… still.

By the age of 12, Céline met her wolf inside of her. Céline was never taught anything about wolf kind until, her father hired someone to teach her. Her father was a purebred werewolf. A born leader and the alpha of the pack. He hated his daughters with a burning passion, because they were not boys. He wanted someone to continue the line, not that girls couldn't though. He had just always hated his daughters for no reason.

In under 10 seconds, Willow had now wrecked the cloths that Céline was wearing and had now transformed into an enchanting wolf. Her eyes had again changed colour to now black, matching the colour of her fur. Willow nudges Elsa to get on her back as they ride towards the sunset, in hope of out running them.

Hours later, the full moon has risen and Céline's wolf, has now picked up the pace. Willow nor Céline have doubted their choice about leaving their pack behind. They both know it is the best thing they can do for each other as well as Elsa. Hence, the trio have been picked on, beaten and unloved by their very own family. This time of the night was fuelling Willow's motivation to escape. However, this was also motivating the other pack members to chase them down because the moon, when it is at its fullest, in a way possess the wolf to take over for the night.

"Willow, I can hear the other pack members closing in on us, we can't out run them. We tried… its best to give up now and suffer the consequences." Cries Elsa as she yawns loudly and mopes on Willow back.

Willow hated suffering the consequences and so did Céline. Last time the trio tried to escape, Céline was lashed by her father's belt multiply times on her back. Her father also made her transform into her wolf, so he could pull out one of her teeth, that is still missing today, and Elsa was put into one the pack's dungeons, with no food or water for 48 hours. However tonight was different, Willow took charge, more than usual, and came up with hopefully a brilliant idea that might just work. And what is about to go down would not have been Céline's ideal idea or plan of attack. Willow stops by a tree with enough branches for Elsa to try and climb on. Elsa was still in a lot of pain however it was minimalizing by the hour. Elsa, got the idea and starts to climb the tree. Willow only had two options, to either fight or fall.

Out of nowhere or without warning, a wolf comes into Willow's view as she helps Elsa get up the tree faster. Willow makes eye contact with a wolf from her pack, while Elsa also capturing a glimpse of the wolf only meters away.

"Where did he come from!" Whispers Elsa to Willow. Elsa was trembling at the thought of her pack getting to them before escaping. Elsa did not want to face her father, nor his wrath and vexation. So, she started to silently cry and shake uncontrollably as she continues to climb the tree.

Willow nor Céline had no idea that their pack were closing in on them this fast. Willow gives that wolf a minuet to reconsider his options. Willow knew what strengths she has on nights like tonight, but she also had an advantage, an advantage that she and only she has.

Céline had only told her sister about who she is, her only one true ally amongst the rest of her despicable family. Her power makes her who she is, half-a wolf and the other half, a superhero, generating her uniqueness and above all else, fabricating who she is… The High-Pitched Hybrid.
