Through Vulcan Eyes
(c. 1987)
I hereby state that while these characters do not belong to me, but to Paramount Pictures, the poem is 100% mine.
I look at him with coal black eyes And see how much he cares. Those hazel eyes gaze back at me full with all we share.
So different are he and I and yet so much the same. For he is a child of planet Earth, not the desert world from which I came.
I admire him for determination and shaping himself beyond the best. For I, from Vulcan, had this inbred and had no choice as did the rest.
Emotions I will not allow to appear upon my face. Many times he's seen them in our journey through time and space.
He has often saved my life though risking his very own. Together we could conquer all. That much he has known.
For he is my t'hy'la, as he would always be. And I, Spock, am his friend for all eternity.
