Love Like the Stars
A tale of Malfoy and Hermione Granger in the 5th year, but it is Draco's
1st time at Hogwarts. He's from another school, but where.?
Disclaimer: These characters are J.K. Rowling's. The only thing that is
mine is the way the story goes.
Chapter 1: Alone
"But Mum! I'm 15! EVERYONE else is allowed to! It's not fair!" Hermione shrieked at her mother from the Gryffindor fire, after asking if she could have the same privileges as her friends, while making everyone in the Gryffindor common room stare at her.
"Hermione, you're my daughter and if I don't say that you can date, then you can't." Mrs. Granger told her daughter sternly.
"Grrr! Why are you ruining my life? I finally fit in at Hogwarts, but now I'm out of place again because everyone's dating except for me! Ron and Harry can, so why can't I?" Hermione said angrily.
"Hermione, I think you should get some rest. We've got classes tomorrow, you know." Harry told Hermione quietly.
"Goodnight, Mum." Hermione gave in wearily.
"Goodnight Hermione."
The next day, Hermione woke up to hear Lavender gush over her boyfriend Seamus for the umpteenth time to Parvati. 'It gets annoying, listening to her talk about her and Seamus' latest make out session.' She thought crossly.
Hermione got out of bed, only to see that the sky was dark grey and stormy. 'And I've also got double potions to match my mood.' She thought scowling.
Hermione got dressed, went down to the common room and found Harry and Ron playing a quick game of Wizard's Chess. She watched them play their game while thinking about other things. (A/N: I've never written fan fiction before, so please review and give me suggestions.)
"Come on. I'm hungry." Hermione complained to the boys.
"Alright. Hold your horses. We're almost done." Ron said not looking up.
Half an hour later, they still weren't done the game. Hermione was getting hungrier by the second, and the boys weren't making it any easier by taking as long as possible for each move. Finally, Hermione stood up, picked up her bag in a hurry, and stomped off to the Great Hall. A few minutes later, Harry and Ron appeared from Gryffindor Tower, running to catch up with Hermione.
"Wait up, Hermione! We've got an hour to eat!" Ron called.
"Actually, we've got ½ an hour to eat, because you took so long with your game!" Hermione said, starting off sounding sweet, but her voice was getting angrier by the minute. They ran the rest of the way to the Great Hall and dashed in, grabbed seats and started stuffing their faces with food. Well, at least Harry and Ron were. Hermione was eating like a normal person usually does.
