My Errant Knight

I shall not speak a word beyond an open look

Feel my eyes on you and that that I am there

To see you lying on the ground, the snow resting in your hair.

I know your dark and hard, you'll never understand

Life is already complex, without an errant knight.

In your abandoned castle shall you ever think of me?

Merely a figment of dark imagery.

I see your soul I know the fire burns within.

You shall never know that others feel your pain.

Ice and storms shall buffet me, in indecision I rise,

To brush your shadow mask away and reveal your tearful eyes.

Charging on a black horse, born in the wrong age.

You should have been a dark prince, an anti-hero of the stage.

Chocked with chains that bind you down,

You don't trust yourself,

Fearful of every step you make,To hell you think you're bound.

I would take the leap with you, to Hades I would follow

And like the first breath of morning dew, vanish at first light.

Shall you ever come and find me, balanced on the scales of life?

Or shall angry teeth meet my unworthy flesh, while I close my eyes?

I've never ever felt so bound, to one before

I thought you were my saviour, instead you are my downfall.

Shall life and love melt to bitter fits of rage?

I cannot live without you, yet I cannot see you waste

Away to shadow smoke, you crawl into the darkness

And no word that I spoke, could lure you forth again,

My errant knight of mist, my dark paragon.
