This past week has been very interesting from finishing my Christmas shopping to baking all the Christmas cookies. When I woke up Christmas morning I never thought that I would be woken up by my long time crush that I could not stop thinking about all year. So I knew that this year's Christmas was going to be different especially with Chris Haliwell waking me up I knew it was going to be the best Christmas in years.
He came into the room with a tray full of food that looked so wonderful. "Morning Beautiful, did you sleep well?" Chris said.
I sit up in bed and smile at him, "Of course I did, I was sleeping next to the most handsome man I know." He comes into the bed and gives me a passionate kiss and whispers, "Merry Christmas," and I now notice that he orbed something into his hands when we were kissing.
I give him a questionable look of wondering what he was up to and tried to be sneaky and distract him with a kiss to try and see what he had in his hand. But he was too fast and ended up moving so that he was on one knee and my eyes went wide as I saw him smile and take my hand.
"Chris, what are you doing?"Being caught off guard I was unsure of what to say.
"Stephanie, I have only known you for a small amount of time, but I feel like I have known you forever and I want to keep you in my life forever. So, with this ring I ask will you marry me." Chris said opening the small box with a lovely one-quarter carat heart-shaped diamond solitaire that sparkled in the 14K white gold band inside it.
My heart just melted when I saw the ring it was perfect. "Yes, oh my gosh, yes," I said basically pulling him back into bed to show him how much I meant yes.
About twenty minutes later the entire family was meeting in the living room to open presents…
Everyone was saying hi and getting comfortable, mostly everyone had spent the night at the manor. I was sitting next to Chris on the couch basically in his lap but I had the biggest smile on my face because I had already got the best present I could think of.
"So it looks like someone had a great morning, someone giving gifts before everyone else I see," said Piper noticing the ring on my finger.
"Well, mom I couldn't wait," Chris said wrapping his arm around me a little tighter.
Almost everyone was there and some of the little ones were getting antsy to open their gifts. Just then Wyatt orbed into the room with his wife and two kids. "Sorry, Prue was giving us some trouble getting ready this morning." Wyatt said as he gave Piper a hug.
"That's okay, just glad everyone is able to make it to Christmas morning gift opening and then we will be able to continue with breakfast and all of what we have planned for today," Piper said.
The morning went by so fast with so many happy family members it felt great that I was able to share this moment with someone that I knew would be in my life forever.
