A/N: Some fucking short one-shot, really short, hope you don't mind my bad writing. (I wrote this in my IG account and I edited it then I published here.)
Seeing her protector lying on the ground, wounded and defeated. The young princess made a choice inside her heart, she has to save him, or at least protect him from harm's way.
She was scared, she definitely was, but she was determined, even when her fate was unknown. Was it for the sake of the kingdom? No. For the sake of the friends she made in the journey? No, it was for Meliodas and his alone. For herself? Never. He already had pulled her away from the death's cliff for too many times, just like when a princess' life is endangered, a knight would always appear to save her. She was the princess and he was the knight.
Elizabeth took a deep breath, calming herself from shuddering. For Lord Meliodas' sake. she stepped forward to the former human and great holy knight in front of her, who was waiting for her with a slight smirk, she knew that he would decide her fate later. But now? No one is going to die if she hand herself in, right? No one is going to die because me…again…
*Clank* *Clank*
The clank of high heels echoed, the small noises she made with her steps had alerted the emerald eyed blonde. He raised his arm, trying to grasp her, but she's out of his reach.
"N-no…! *hack* Don't go…Eli…zabeth!" He pleaded, sounding like a child begging their parents to stay, his eyes showing unspoken desperation, she would have most definitely wanted to stay by his side, who would want to lose someone that became so important to them anyway? But she didn't want him to die. That's why.
"Lord Meliodas, …let me save you every once in a while, too." She paused and turned back to him, reassuring him with her best smile, as if everything was going to be okay. Elizabeth let the demon in-front of her to take her and was quickly carried into the skies.
