"Hey Jackal, be a wingman for me."
Marui suddenly requested out of the blue and begin to pace ahead speedily. "H-Huh?" The Brazilian gave his friend a quizzical look and caught up to the redhead. "What do you mean by tha—" Jackal soon saw Marui chatting up with a strange girl by the curb of the street. She's in a familiar school uniform, he recognized it as Seishun Gakuen. He noticed that she's slightly frightened when Marui came out of nowhere and started to talk with her out of the blue. His spontaneous friend doesn't even see the problem at hand.
"That idiot…" Jackal muttered, shaking his head. Then an idea strikes him. Quickly, Jackal took a rubber band from around his wrist and approaches his friend and the girl. He put the rubber band on his index and middle finger; also hook it on the ring and pinky without them noticing.
"Jackal?"
The Brazilian holds his hand out in front of the girl and she blinked curiously.
When he opens the hand he had closed lightly…
"Eh?"
The rubber band sprang off the index and middle finger, instantly moving over to the ring finger and pinky!
The girl's eyes widen in surprise and she gasped. "I-I saw it! I-It went like…zoom!" A big smile grew on her lips. Jackal returned the smile and nudged his shoulder at the dumbstruck redhead. "This idiot taught me that trick, he's actually a pretty cool magician." Wingmen make their friends look good, even if what they're saying is total bullshit.
"A-Ah…?" Marui gave Jackal a panicked look for a second then turns back to the girl. "A-Ahaha, yeah, it's true!" The girl clasped her hands together, her expression widening in wonder. "Oh my goodness, that's so neat! I-I'm Ryuzaki Sakuno, I apologize for not introducing myself before…" She bowed her head formally.
"Yo, I'm Marui Bunta…the great magician?" Marui grinned. "You..want me to show you a few tricks sometime Ryuzaki-chan?" The girl nodded in response, a small but visible blush warm her cheeks.
"I'd like that very much, thank you."
Jackal discretely leaves the two to chat now that his job is done.
