Being called weird was nothing new to either of them. That's why they decided they were utterly p e r f e c t for each other. Goofing off was their favorite pastime. They found it was more fun when they goofed off together.
She was a sugar-addict and so she made him eat skittles with her underneath old desks. He would get gum in a wide range of colors stuck in his hair. She would laugh at him until she decided to take mercy on his poor ego and pull it out. He would pout until she gave him a kiss on the cheek. The next day she would drag him off to eat Sweet Tarts. He would protest, remembering the gum incident. When they reached the desk he would climb under anyways. He would do it only for her.
He had an obsession with fighting so he would engage her in battle. He had always found ninjas fascinating, and he couldn't wait to see how well he fought against one. They proceeded to have an epic war with Aerith's hair ties. He always won, and she would pout, saying the game wasn't fun anymore. He would kiss the tip of her nose and promise to buy her another pack of skittles. The next day he would beg her to play with him. She would protest, telling him it was lame and childish. He would shoot a hair tie at her. She would retaliate. The war would begin, just because she would do anything for him.
They loved childish things.
Needless to say, both Leon and Aerith were mad when they discovered they spent so much munny on Skittles and lost a good third of Aerith's hair ties. Of course neither of them cared. Happiness was all about having fun, and if either Leon or Aerith decided to murder them in their rage, then at least they would die happy.
It's all about the thrills, and the stupid things in life that are fun. So they eat skittles underneath desks and have wars with Aerith's hair ties. Leon tells them their freaks. Aerith lectures them about maturity and acting their age. Cid just mumbles about kids these days.
Sora and Yuffie just laugh, protesting that they are completely, one hundred percent normal.
Except for the bit of insanity thrown in the mix to make it all interesting.
