A Beautiful Angel
She was a beautiful angel
Sent from the stars above
She was unselfish and kind
As gentle as a dove
I fell through her Church roof
Onto the flower bed
And when I first saw her eyes
I forgot about any pain and dread
Then the ShinRa pigs took her
Before she had a chance to flee
And I vowed to myself
To not rest until she was once again free
So we went to the Shinra building,
To rescue she who had stolen my heart
I had hardly known her one day
And yet knew she had not yet played her part.
We rescued her eventually
And a fire wolf as well
However, I cared for nothing
But the fact that she was safe and well
We escaped from Midgar after that
Travelling for days on end
But the hunger and the fatigue were always forgotten
For injuries were something Aeris could tend
After that, we gathered more friends
But they hardly past my mind
It was only the flower girl
She was truly one of a kind
We soon learned that Sephiroth
My old idol and now our foe
Had headed to the Temple of the Ancients
And Aeris became lost in woe.
We had to go to Gold Saucer to get the keystone
And ended up on a date
It was then that I realised I loved her
And had to tell her before it was too late
I decided to wait
Until we had saved the Planet
But things went wrong soon after
When Sephiroth used me as a puppet
She disappeared after that
And came to me in a dream that night
She told me of her plan before she left
And I could not stop shouting after my light
I gathered everyone together
Our mission was clear
We had to find and rescue
The woman I held so dear.
We found her praying
And I felt hope fill me once more
Until Sephiroth descended with his sword,
Leaving a mess of blood and gore.
Then she was falling,
I caught her before she hit the floor,
My own tears falling as I realised
the woman I loved would smile no more.
