"I'm on my way to a press conference…some new company. Shields Inc" Serena Clark, spoke into her headset as she drove through the streets of New York.
"Oh But I thought we were going to lunch" whined her best friend Mina.
Mina and Serena were stuck together like glue, they had always been best friends since kindergarten and did everything together and they lived together but not for much longer as Mina was moving in with her long time boyfriend Malachite.
"This is a big story Mina" Serena sighed as she out of pure luck found a park right in front of the building, right behind a brand new, shiny, black mustang convertible.
"Look this shouldn't take to long, afterwards why don't we go to the Bridge for dinner" she asks Mina while fixing up her make-up.
"Then can we go Ariels, Lita says it's a great club" Mina pleaded.
Getting out of the car Serena looked over her options: 1. Go to the club, get pissed and dance the night away with Mina and Lita, or 2. Go to dinner and endure Mina's endless rants how she would have a great time and needs a life, hmm number 1 it is.
"Fine Mina, fine" she says as she hangs up and locks her car. Walking with her head down, looking in her bag for her lip gloss.
As she goes to put her head up she runs into a wall, falling to the ground she thinks 'that wasn't there before'.
Closing her eyes waiting for impact with the ground, but it didn't come but strong warm arms rapped around her waist pulling her against what she thought was a wall, but opening her eyes she stared into a broad, Armani, clad chest.
Looking up she was looking into dark blue eyes.
'He's gorgeous she thought'.
She quickly snapped out of it, pulling away and straightening out her business suit and skirt which had ridden up to her mid thigh. Looking up she saw the man was checking out her legs.
"Pervert" she said turning around and walking into the building. Looking into the door windows she could see the man following her. 'Oh god' she thought. 'A stalker, like I need this'. Quickly running into the lift, she pushed the close door button rapidly as the man walked towards the lift.
The doors started to close but just before they did, he winked and smirked at her waving his hand at her. As the door closed she flipped him the bird. Laughing to herself at her victory, she thought about some more questions she would ask Shields when she interviewed him.
Running to the conference room, she took a seat near the front. Getting out her pen and pad they announced Endymion Sheilds, looking up she felt panic through her it was none other than……
