Title: Her Past

Disclaimer: I do not own Castle, Andrew W. Marlowe and ABC do.

After a long day at work Kate got back to her sublet took a quick shower and then ordered Chinese takeout.

As she was waited and listened to the radio she smiled and recalled how Rick seemed flustered after she gave Rick tidbit descriptions of her wild child phase.

"You know what this means though don't you?"

"No what?"

"Well Alexis is entering her wild child phase."

"My daughter? I don't think so."

"Oh yeah Castle, all girls go through it and good girls are the worst. In fact I remember this one time when I…"

As she sat down to relax she thought back to her high school days and how different she was then young and carefree, not a single worry.

As the song played she remembered one memory in particular.

Early Summer 1997

It finally happened; seventeen year old Kate Beckett finally had her own motorcycle. Her father wasn't too happy neither was her mother; at least her mother dealt with it better (so to speak).

One thing is for sure and that is Kate couldn't wait to show to best friend Madison Queller.

Present day

Kate thought to herself yep and it was quite wild and Madison was surprised all right.

However, I will never forget the time I got in trouble.

Late Summer 1998

Kate and Madison had been hanging with a few biker guys for the past few weeks. So far she managed not to get caught, but that was all about to change.

One of the guys had been passing around drinks when it came to her she was tempted but knew she shouldn't that was until one of the called her a chicken when she was about to turn it down.

Oh what the heck one little drink is not going to hurt thought seventeen year old Kate.

Right when she was about to she heard a harsh voice single her out.

"Katherine Elizabeth Beckett! You put that can of beer this instant!"

"Uh-oh I am so busted," muttered the younger Kate.

At the sound everyone in the crowd dispersed leaving Kate to fend for herself.

Kate turned around to face an angry Johanna with a sheepish look on her face.

Kate's thoughts were interrupted when she heard the door knocking signaling the arrival of her dinner.

As soon as she had paid the delivery guy she went to back her couch and her thoughts

I am so glad that that my mom interceded and punished me properly… that life could have gotten me into trouble; my life now is the unsurpassed.
