Chapter One: Introduction

I snuggled into the ragged green blanket and stared out the window. I looked over the horizon that was brimmed with a beautiful fiery red that swam across the azure ocean. I looked at the sun which gleamed a dying color as it began to sink under the ocean, eventually leaving the sky a blissful and quiet indigo which faded into a bermuda black. It was so beautiful. Simply breathtaking.

"Will.. Will I ever be out of here?" I inquired, sadly to myself . I slumped back against the bed and kept staring into the night sky. I've been here.. For so long.. I jumped as I heard a thump against the door. "Who is it?" I asked, my voice cracking, deprived of all life.

I heard the locks in front of the door snap and the door slowly opened up. I peered carefully. I could see no one behind the door. I quickly, jumped out of bed and tip-toed to the door.

"H-hello?" I asked again, terrified. Again, no one replied. I trembled as I reached out for the door and it creaked open. I looked beyond the door to see the cold steps lying ahead. I looked uncertainly. Should I make a run for it? I closed my eyes, debating. I wanted to go home so badly. I quickly ran back into my room and picked up a ragged pack which contained a few of my most valued treasures. I stuffed in a few clothes that were provided long ago and threw them in the bag. I had no idea what I could do about the food, but it was now or never. I had to get out.

I quickly strapped the bag around my chest and opened the door. Behind the door was a sharp pin and the other locks were all torn and broken from the door. I quickly grabbed the small sharp pin and ran onto the stairs. There were so many stairs winding down from the highest tower, that I actually felt sad for the maid who was ordered to get up to the chamber every morning. I started to slow down after about 10 minutes. I was almost to the bottom of the stair case when I heard two gruff voices. They were guards. I quickly retracted the sharp pin and drew it to my neck where the metal lock around my neck was. I inserted the lock and thankfully, after not much persistence it cracked open.

"Hey, did you hear that?" Inquired one of the guards.

"Hear what?" the other replied.

"That noise..?" He seemed to be trying to shrug it off. That is until I came into the picture. "Hey, boss, look! Its that girl!"

"Ehh?" The other guard noticed what he was pointing to and they both trembled as they saw me. "Hey, you! How the hell did you get out?"

I did not reply. I kept staring as I felt that rush cave into me. Its adrenaline.

One of the guards lifted up their weapons and the other did after him.

"What the hell is she doing?" Asked one guard, looking at me with complete fear in his eyes.

The other guard took a step back. "We sh-should report this t-to…"

I drew my head back as I felt myself levitate off the floor. By now, everything was a fast-motion blur. At last, the last bit of adrenaline filled me and all my senses overcame me. From then on, I could only feel an amazing sensation that hit me to my bone and seeing a peaceful yet powerful glow of white lace and a light lavender fill me.

When I woke up, it was all gone. I was away from that wretched place. But.. Where was I now?
