Story:

It was a dark starry night as Dean lit the last candle surrounding his impala. Dean didn't usually go for the whole romance thing, but he would for his angel. The candles cost a fortune, all 175. Usually he'd steal them, but his date was an angel of the lord and all, so he thought it would be best to actually buy them this time. He'd got a Chinese take away which was set up on the hood of the car. The angel didn't actually need to eat, but the sentiment was there.

Dean, who was new to the whole thing, decided to try and dress smart but casual. He was wearing dark, tight fitting jeans and a white shirt with the top button undone. He didn't know if Cas would like it, and he was nervous. Which for Dean Winchester, was a rarity. He turned the radio on to a channel that played lovey dovey songs. Dean found it hard to put her baby through it, but it had to be done.

He called the angel. He closed his eyes, hoping he'd show up. He opened his eyes, a smile upon his face when he heard the flap of wings. He was beautiful. He was dressed in his usual trench coat, but he had a look of amazement on his face that was bathed in candle light. Dean was speechless.

"Surprise" He managed to choke out. His thought was dry as he looked at the angel.

"Dean…this is…unnecessary. It's beautiful though and I appreciate it. I love it, but you shouldn't have." Castiel said, trying to find the right words.

"So you like it then?" Dean asked, even more nervous than before.

"Of course I do. You look…elegantly beautiful." Castiel breathed, his eyes not leaving Deans body, who chuckled nervously.

"I know you don't eat, but you know, why not? That's what people do when they have a date so..." Dean babbled uncertainly.

"Dean, it's perfect. This ves- I need to eat anyway." Cas insured, a smile pulling at the edge of his lips.

They ate, talking, laughing, and admiring each other in the candle light. Occasionally glancing at the other when they thought they weren't looking. When they had finished eating, Cas used his angle juice to make the take away disappear so they could sit on the hood of the impala.

They sat in each other's arms, Cas gazing at the stars and Dean gazing at Cas. "Beautiful" he muttered, his eyes not leaving the angel.
"What is?" The angel asked, looking at dean, his head tilting to the side, showing his confusion.
"You, Cas." Dean said, taking the angle by shock. "Castiel, I think I love you..." Dean said, avoiding the angels face, scared of what he'd see if he did.
"Dean…I think I love you too." Castiel admitted, leaning in to place a soft kiss on Dean's lips.
