"Scott you need some friends." Ms. McCall said.
"Mom, we've been over this I don't need friends I have Ablaze." A ten year old Scott said, picking up his puppy Siberian Husky.
"And he's amazing. He is my best friend in the whole universe."Scott said hugging him real tight.
"Scott stop being a fool, he is just a puppy. You need real friends as in people." She said.
"He isn't just a puppy. He is Ablaze and he is my best friend." He said running upstairs Ablaze right behind him.
"Huh boys." She muttered as she went into her room.
ScottPOV( Still 10)
I ran upstairs into my room and shutting soon as Ablaze ran in.
"I don't need friends, right Ablaze?" He puppy bark and hopped on his bed.
"Here I got you something special." I said as he went to my desk and pulled out a box.
Ablaze sat on the turned his head sideways in confusion. I opened the box to a black collar with white flames design on it. In the middle it read, "
"Ablaze McCall, 98 Clifford Ct., if found Call 757-002-1010." On a bone shaped charm.
"Here you go boy." I said as jumped on the bed and wrapped the collar around his neck. He looked down and wagged his tailed. He bark and jumped all over the bed then jumped on me licking my face.
"Eww Ablaze." I laughed as he jumped off. I hugged him back and held him at arms length.
"Now you are mine. And I promise I'll never lose you. You really are my good boy." I said laughing as me and him played all night.
And we walked, played, ate like dogs, and trained. For the next 2 years until the night me and mom got back from my birthday dinner across town.
"Oh my god." My mother.
I looked outside to see my entire house on fire, there were cops and firefighters everywhere.
"Ablaze!" I yelled as I ran outside the car.
"Woah there kid slow down you can't go in there." A firefighter said holding me back. I turned around and kicked right in the balls running inside of my house.
"Ablaze!, Here boy." I said running up the falling down stairs, breaking as I took very step up into my burning room.
"You in here boy." I said avoiding the falling building pieces. Then I heard a whinish bark. "Ablaze." I said a little softer. I saw a white tail and ran to it. "Oh my god." I said as I grabbed him from under my bed and ran out my room only to come face to face with a burning ceiling board falling in front of our face. I quickly turned to go the other way when another piece of the house was falling in front of us. I was trapped, and scared.
"Oh my god I am so sorry Ablaze." I said as I felt the effect of the smoke getting to me cause me leaned back again the stair frame, which broke.
I fell backwards from the top of the staircase with Ablaze in my arms sleep. I looked up as I saw my home enveloped in flames burning down around me.' I didn't even get a human friend', I thought as I let a lonely tear fall down my cheek as I felt my back hit the firey floor.
I closed my eyes and let myself into the darkness.
