Hullo there! This is theskaterbug speaking, and please, call me Lily. So! This is my take on the Marriage Law cliché! Yay! If you don't like Marriage Law fics, don't read it. But I suggest you do anyways, cuz it's gonna be really good.

Disclaimer: I do not, nor will I ever own, Harry Potter. And yes, the idea of Cynthia the secretary comes from NCIS, and CBS owns that. Don't sue me. Now that I feel as if I don't own anything, let's get on with the story! Yay!

Kingsley Shacklebolt sighed. He had an awfully long day ahead of him. I mean, being the Minister of Magic, every day was a long day. But this day would be longer than any others before. And that included the day that he had six teenagers following him around for a "school project". He was pretty sure that school projects didn't include hippopotamuses in his office or rain in his elevator or any other of the shenanigans that they pulled. He sighed at the thought.

"Sir?"

The voice of his secretary brought him back to reality.

"Yes Cynthia?

"Are you ready to depart for Hogwarts, Mr. Shackelbolt?" Cynthia looked at the ground as the talked. She had always been intimidated by Kingsley.

Kingsley sighed again. "Yes, I suppose I am. Is Minerva aware that tonight is the night?"

Cynthia's voice quivered. " Y-y-yes sir. A-are you sure you want to do this, sir? We're already getting letters from parents-"

"Ah, so the letters have already started to arrive? Well, my dear Cynthia, we'll just have to owl them back telling them that everything is going to work out fine, I personally guarantee it." Kingsley sighed yet again. He knew the letters would come, but so early? He hadn't even announced it to the public yet! Must have been someone on the inside… "Besides, I need to do what's best for the wizards under my control, and this is the best I can do. We are a dying breed, and this is the only way to fix it. Let's go."

A/N: It was much longer in the document. Sorry that it's so short! I hate it, but the next couple chapters will make up for it. I am in the process of writing the second one, so I should have it up soon. School starts on Wednesday, so I'll work on this as much as I can. :)

Reviews would make me happy. :)
