Miyazono Kaori has never thought about being anyone else other than a violinist, but after her miraculous survival through the surgery, she began to develop a mutation that will transform her into an Orphnoch. Despite her best efforts at living an ordinary life, Kaori soon found herself at conflict with a new breed of enemies, as well as armoured warriors known as the Kamen Riders.

Chapter 1 - Rebirth

Darkness. It was all she could see in this lingering moment between life and death. Like the condemnation of an innocent soul, the fear of dyingness surrounded her, consumed her, and then slowly disintegrated every last ounce of her life force as reality began to fade away. The distinctive sound of her heartbeat stopped, her cherished memories crumbled and her frozen skin felt the first sign of cellular decay as her mental senses gradually decelerated to a still motion.

It all happened too soon before she even realised. The incurable disease that has been taunting her for the past 14 years has ultimately exploited her weakness, exhausted her last line of bodily defence, and was now moments away from becoming her downfall. Her agony at this precise moment was undoubtedly, no less excruciating than the mental anguish of knowing that those precious memories she created with her friends will soon be all gone.
