Hinata nervously knocked on the door to the Hokage's (not to mention her husband's) office. Naruto responded with a calm "come in" and Hinata opened the door and walked inside. Naruto looked up from the large pile of paperwork he had to do to see who it was. When he saw his wife, he smiled from ear to ear before pushing the papers off the desk and onto the floor.
"Just the excuse I needed!" Naruto beamed. Hinata laughed lightly. "What's wrong, Hinata?" Hinata bent her head down. She didn't know what to say, yet she knew exactly what needed to be said.
"U-um. Naruto-kun?" Hinata stuttered. She hadn't done that in forever. Naruto raised an eyebrow at Hinata.
"What is it?" Naruto replied to her curiously.
"I…I'm…..I'm…."
"You're what, Hinata?"
Hinata took a couple seconds to put herself back together. Then she looked her husband dead in the eye and said, "Naruto, I'm pregnant."
Naruto was silent for several minutes before promptly fainting.
Naruto opened his eyes slightly before closing them again. The light was too much for his eyes. Where was he anyways?
"Naruto?" a voice said. Naruto recognized it immediately and bolted upright. He sat still for a couple minutes staring at his lap trying to recall what happened before he fainted.
"What happened?" Naruto said, turning to Hinata.
"I told you I was pregnant and you fainted." She said. There was a pregnant silence before-
"Hinata! That's great! When did you find out? Is it a girl or a boy? Is it going to look like you? Is it going to look like me? What kind of a ninja will he or she be? How far along are you? When is he or she due?" Naruto looked at Hinata and looked at her. His vision trailed down to her stomach. He shakily reached out a hand and placed it under her shirt. Hinata laughed.
"Naruto! I'm barely a month along! I'm not showing yet!" Hinata said between her laughs. "You'll just have to be patient for the next eight months until the baby is born."
-Eight months later…-
"Twins?" Naruto said weakly, as he sat in a chair outside the delivery room. Sakura nodded at Naruto.
"A healthy baby girl and a healthy baby boy." Sakura said, smiling down at Naruto. "Congratulations, Naruto! You're a dad!"
For the first time in Naruto's life, his cried tears of joy before fainting again. Sakura closed her eyes and shook her head. As expected of the knucklehead she called her Hokage.
