Right, as always, I do NOT own StarCraft. Blizzard Entertainment does. Well, it should. Anyway, even if you don't know what StarCraft is, I think you'd still understand this story. Thanks!

Part 1

"Good evening, Magistrate. Beep."

"What have ya got for me?" I replied, sighing.

"You are receiving an incoming transmission. Beep."

A man appeared on the screen. He had brown hair that was brushed back, and an annoying little smile. I didn't like him; he was always too happy or too polite. "Magistrate."

"Admiral Arks," I nodded.

"Just call me AA Batteries," he chuckled. I stared at him, not even cracking a smile. "Right," he cleared his voice. "Well, you might have heard about our findings of the Ixthys."

"I might have," I lied. "So what about it?"

"Well one of my specialists found out about the Ixthys. It's some kind of mineral or stone or something, that is extremely powerful."

"How powerful?" I asked, not looking even a bit interested.

He grinned. "More powerful than you've ever seen."

I nodded, taking a long drag from my cigarette. "Tell me, why did you call me? So you can ask help from me again?" Yeah, he was always calling me in the middle of the night because he needed reinforcements. Arks owed me a lot, and he never paid back.

"Well," the Admiral started. "Yeah…but before you say anything, all the Terrans are comin' to help."

"Yeah?" I couldn't keep myself from laughing.

Arks looked a bit offended, but he was too nice to think of something to say back. He shook his head. "Yes sir. All the Terrans."

"Well, Admiral," I let out a deep breath, smoke escaping out of my mouth and disappearing into the air. "I'm thinkin' this is a bad idea. I mean, you've only said that the Ixthys is some kind of stone or material that's way powerful. First, you don't even know what it is. Second, how the heck do we get it? And I could go on forever, Arks. Nowbefore you wanna get all cool on this thing, and wanna actually go on this mission, why don't you and your little computer geeks go and get more info for me, huh? So I suggest you just go and tell – "

"Look," Admiral Arks suddenly spoke up, and I almost choked. No one ever had interrupted me, never mind the Admiral! "I'm sure about this mission, sir. I'm sure it'll be worth it." He looked at me seriously through the screen, and he looked like he was frowning. "I'm sure of it, sir! Please!"

I sighed, I wanted to make this little guy go away for once, and so I just said, "Fine. Sure. Just leave me alone, will ya?"
