All in the name of Hell.

I will fight until My Last Breath.

This is all that I could do. Chant this foolish lines to gain a pseudo-hope, standing in front of the mirror.

Then suddenly, I felt my limbs burn. It happens to me all the time, but everytime something different haunts me. Yet this one was so strong, that it made me grimace and stumbled away from the mirror, and I collapsed on the nearby green plush chair. But this isn't my room. I live somewhere else. Way worse than this room.

Just as I was trying to restrain myself from screaming, the door flung open and there she was. Standing with confidence and a fierce look. Her chestnut coloured hair which reached her thighs (And I hate to admit that I have inherited them.) Her eyes fiery red, which widened as she saw me suffering. She was wearing her long and elegant red gown, fitting her in her best curves. What a sight, A blood red gown covered with the blood of nine - almost ten - daughters. The thin golden crown on her forehead defined her as who she was, The Queen.

"Mayline, how is my sweet daughter feeling? Weak?" Weak, Talentless, Useless, Powerless. These were the words no one ever dared to speak in front of me, except those three.

The only job that these people could do was name-calling. And since they couldn't speak them in front of me, Pity was all that they showed me.

"You shouldn't expect me to be weak as you, Kiefer. And I may expect a reason for your presence here." I slowly stood up hiding my pain. But she wasn't that fool. Still.

"Do not show me attitude. And I am sending a few attendants for you to make you ready for the ceremony." She cooly said and swept out the room. After she left, five women entered.

"Your Highness." Their leader, Lust bowed to me. They all were kind to me but were on the queen's side. Because obviously, she wouldn't allow me any allies. These past few years have been so rough for me. I became all alone ever since Fidan died. No, she didn't die, she was murdered.

Silently, Lust allowed me to it on the chair and proceeded on her work of doing my hair. Then two other women,Lisa and Lillie, helped me dress up in an emerald green gown, not long enough for me to trip on it. Then Hollie (Another attendant) proceeded to apply light yellow pollen on my cheeks. Then Hannah took some raspberry juice and applied them on my lips. And some black dye to outline my sapphire irises from outside.

"Your Highness, you're looking stunning." Lust spoke while the rest bowed out. I sighed, at their kindness, but unhappy at the loneliness. Then I stood in front of the mirror, which was studded perfectly on the wall. Naturally. I don't understand why the elves thought of me as an uncommon and perfect beauty. Perhaps, looking at the watery reflection of the Princess in the mirror made me realize what they have seen in me which I failed to notice in these fifteen years of my life.

Chestnut hair, long and smooth which reached my waist. Eyes bright, with irises as sapphire orbs. Skin bright as light. Lips pinker than lotuses. Lashes dark as night.

Perhaps I was pretty, but not so very much. I touched the mirror in belief to feel the reflection, but felt only its cold and smooth glass. The girl in the mirror looked so real- and yet was nothing but a reflection. I could only wish to enjoy that life.

There were perks to being royal. If only I could enjoy them without the threat of one's imminent demise hovering over my head like a sword of death wish.

But they are not rebels, this is just one person. My mother.
