Disclaimer: I do not own twilight, I'm just having fun with Charlie.
Summary: One-shot. There is only going to be two chapters. Charlie dies of a heart condition and goes to heaven. He watches over Bella and realizes she looks the same as she did twenty years ago. He watches her live her life, and finds out her secret after all this time. Will he accept? (Even though there is nothing he can do now, he's dead.)
An: This will be ONLY two chapters. I was in the middle of Bio. (Ironic?) In a daze and half asleep -Bio. Is not my strong point- when I thought of this little one-shot. I can't write short stories. I never can seem to get them right. And this one will be hard for two reasons. One, because it will be from Charlie's POV, and the other is, that it is him in heaven looking down on Bella and Edward, so no direct conversations. Sorry. The song title 'Survive' is ironic in it's own way. Haha. (: Enjoy!
.xXx.
Life for you, has been less than kind
So take a number, stand in line
We've all been sorry, we've all been hurt
But how we survive, is what makes us who we are
Rise Against, Survive
.xXx.
Preface: (20 years after Breaking Dawn.)
What does dying mean to you? I've always thought of death as a part of life, but I've never fully comprehended just what that pain was - until I saw my daughter crying at my funeral. She was there with her husband Edward - trying not to let the tears fall in front of her daughter Renesmee. My daughter Bella was good at hiding her feelings, like me. She also had what I always envisioned her having, a family of her own. A nice and caring husband and a precious daughter. She should really have had another kid, like a boy, that would have set her right. Not that I know anything about raising a boy, I only have Bella. Since her mother Renee had remarried, she was all I had in my life and I couldn't have been happier. After all the only thing I really ever loved - besides her mother - was her. The only thing that I care about now on Earth was her and her family. But the only thing that I ever cared about was now crying over my casketed body. My poor sweet innocent baby Bella, how I wish I could make the pain go away.
An: For any question I feel will come up, Charlie doesn't know that bella can't cry. He thinks she simply won't in front of her daughter. Make me smile and review, even if you don't have anything nice to say. (:
