THE PIE HOLE CHAPTER 4
When we last left Olive and Ned, Ned just told Olive his biggest secret that he can bring dead things back to life.
"I can bring dead things back to life." Said Ned.
A long silence broke out and Ned couldn't think of anything to say, so Olive broke the silence.
"You can….what?" Olive asked with a puzzled expression on his face
"I can bring dead things back to life. If I touch a dead thing it comes back. I bring dead…"
Ned was cut off by Olive's voice
"Yes I understand that. You bring things back to life. But why haven't you told me? Does Chuck know?"
Olive gazed into the pie maker's eyes and was hoping he would say "No, you are the first and only person who I have told." But instead he said "Well, yes. But only because I touched her."
Olive gasped, "Oh my god! You touched her inappropriately?! And let me guess I suppose you invited her over for breakfast and coffee too?! Well I will not be like her Ned. Don't you go thinking I'm easy and that I'm something you can go braaaaaag about your friends to! Do you even have friends?"
Ned began to chuckle, "No Olive. I didn't violate her in any way. Chuck is actually lonely tourist Charlotte Charles. And I brought her back to life. Lilly and Vivian Charles are her aunts. Well Vivian is, Lilly is actually her mother but Chuck thought she was her aunt her whole life. And no, I don't have friends, just you and Emerson." He then reached out and put his hand on her leg gently.
Olive put her hand over Ned's and was so grateful that he didn't mention Chuck as one of his friends.
Olive then spoke softly but sternly, "Ned please tell me everything about you. I don't want to be left alone in the dark anymore."
Ned hugged her and said "You won't Olive. You won't."
