Such an event would have been unthinkable to either party a few days ago but it was getting far too much for Merlin. If the woman even tried to control herself it wouldn't have been so bad, but this was getting ridiculous!
So he had snapped, his self-control worn to nothing. He simply couldn't take any more.
They were in the alcove that Merlin had dragged her into, standing inches apart but each wishing they were miles away from the other. Merlin finally uttered the words he had been dying to say for months.
"Morgana, would you please stop smirking!"
