My name is Bella, I'm 17. I moved into town with my parents two weeks ago. I've been going to my new school for nearly a week, and I still haven't made a single friend! Monday through Thursday I've had lunch alone, its so embarrising sitting by myself. I wish I wasn't so shy. So today is friday, and as I look around the cafeteria for an empty seat I feel so lonely. Its ot that i'm unattractive, I'm a bit chubby, but not fat. I've got big boobs which guys seem to like, and everyone says I have a pretty face. Its just sometimes I feel so unconfident.

Sitting down by myself as usaul, I start to eat my lunch when I feel someone standing over me. I look up to see Alice, a girl from my maths class, skinny and pretty and one of the popular girls. "Hey," she says, smiling down at me "do you mind if I sit here? My normal table is full."
"Sure, go for it." I say, smiling back.
"So how are you liking this school?" she asks, sitting down and taking out her lunch.
"It's ok, I dont really know anyone yet. I'm really looking forward to the sports intake next week, I want to join a few teams and hopefully make some friends."
"Oh my god!" she laughed "I'm on the soccer team and the netball team. You should fully join up, we need some new players. I'll fully introduce you around to the girls!"
For the next hour we talked excitedly, and found we had so much in common; sports, TV shows, hobbies. I suddenly found myself cheered up, I was actually making a friend! Just as lunch was ending she asked "Waht are you doing tonight?"
"No plans" I replied.
"Well I'm going to be hanging out with my boyfriend and my brother," she said. "Their flatmates,they're both 23. We're probably just gonna have a few drinks or something at their flat. Do you want to come?"
"Oh my god yes!" I practically yelled. It felt like so long since I actually got to hang out with anyone, especialy guys.
"Cool," she said, "I'll text you the details later." We swapped cell numbers and headed off to class. I found I couldn't concentrate for the rest of the day, I was so excited.
