Prompt: Twenty Points (#85)

First Day

It was a less than stellar way to start his first day of classes at Hogwarts, EVER.

It was his first class too.

And as James looked back on it, he wasn't even really sure what he did.

He just knew that, he'd very much been mistaken about their History of Magic's Professor. He'd made a terrible judgement call, thinking that simply because Professor Turpin was so young, short and taught a class with no practical magic, that she'd be easy. The little blonde curls certainly helped in making her seem like a perfectly harmless push-over.

He was very wrong.

Although, now that he was older, he had to guess that perhaps, Professor Turpin just needed someone to make an example out of. Someone to show the class that she wasn't a teacher to cross.

Though, twenty points was a little steep, even if he could no longer remember exactly what he'd said.

He only remembered the consequences.

Really, he was lucky that he had older cousins in Gryffindor, or else, he'd have never lived it down.
