It was late in the night, or early in the morning depending on your views, when Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter stumbled into the Slytherin house dorms at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They were drunk after sneaking out to Hogsmeade, figuring it was safer with most of the school out for the holidays. Harry and Draco had been sneaking out together for over a month now, but neither was quite ready for everyone to know of their relationship. It was just easier to let people think of them as enemies rather than lovers. Harry suspected that Hermione knew, her pointed look when she caught them talking close together in an abandoned corridor one day proved that. Hermione was kind though, deciding that they could come out when they felt that they were ready. Hermione and Ron stayed at Hogwarts for the holidays, which was why Harry and Draco were attempting to sneak into the dungeons.
"Frogs-worms," Draco slurred to the portrait door, which in turn gave the two teens a disapproving sneer as it swung over. Draco grabbed Harry's calloused hand and led him through the green-tinted dungeon to a staircase similar to the one in Gryffindor tower. Harry's eyes fell on a bed with a tag that bore "Draco Malfoy" in elegant script. Draco pulled a canopy veil around the bed for some privacy, though there was no one else in this part of the dormitories.
"Hey, Harry?" Draco's whisper was laced with concern and self doubt as he cast his eye downwards.
"Yeah?"
"Why me? I mean, you could have practically anyone, and you pick me? I've been horrible to you and your friends for five-years and-" Draco started to pick at his rough hands as he avoided Harry's eyes.
"Draco…" Harry cut off Draco's ramblings as he lifted the blonde's face to rest in his hands. "I love you."
Draco's face changed to show hope as he took in his lover's words. Harry took this time to lean forward and kiss him, melting away all of Draco's worries.
