Cathy walked into the small café. She had her hands stuffed in her pockets and her all too known I-hate-you-so-go-away look on her face. She looked around for the familiar red hair. Seeing one person in there that had red hair, she walked over there.
"Ashley!" she barked. The girl looked up from her book and stared at Cathy with a confused look. "Is KiKi working today?" The red head shrugged. "Oh, well you're much help," she growled. She stood there for a few seconds and then slid into the booth.
"You seem more mad than lately. Who pissed you off?" Ashley questioned. She flipped the page, not even looking up.
"Oh, haha. I should really be asking why you don't have that purple dye in your eyes. Why are you showing those blue and red eyes?" Cathy snapped. Ashley looked up at her with her mismatch eyes and glared right into Cathy's bright blue ones, storming with anger. She soon looked back down at her book. "Anyways, where is your little shadow? Sarah?"
"She's not my shadow, and she's at the bakery. KiKi's working, by the way," Ashley said. Her voice was calm and cool, while Cathy's seemed to be bursting with anger. She flipped another page.
"Damn it! Put the book down!" Cathy snapped. Ashley stopped reading and looked up. Cathy glared at her. Her dark blue hair fell into her face and she angrly placed it behind her long ears.
"It was the new girl who made you mad, isn't it?" Ashley questioned. Cathy stared at her wide eyed. Ashley let out a small chuckle. "I guess I was right, huh?" Cathy stared at her with disbelief and then got her composer and glared.
"Yes, she is just-" Cathy stopped when a voice came her ears.
"Hey, KiKi."
Cathy balled up her fists. It was her. The "perfect" girl. Oh, God! What was she doing here?
"Kayla! What are you doing here? Don't you have something important to do right now?" The blonde girl walked over to the brunette girl. Her cat eyes scanned the girl in front of her. "Damn so this your outfit out of school?"
Kayla looked at her green sweatshirt and stone faded jeans. She shrugged. Her long brown hair was no longer a problem, since it was pulled up into a high ponytail. The hair that had once reached to her knees was now to her thighs. "It's not much."
"Not much? I think you should wear your hair up more, it makes those green eyes of yours pop out more. Now I know what the guys are swooning over," KiKi said. She giggled at Kayla's red face.
"Anyways, KiKi, my birthday is this weekend, would you like to come to my party?" Kayla asked.
"Sure! Is it this Saturday?"
"Yep."
KiKi tapped her lip. "You know, I think that's the same birthday as Kyle's. Weird, huh?" Kayla opened her mouth to reply, but a screeching voice shouted at KiKi. "Oh, I have to get back to work. I'll see you sometime later, ok?"
"Yeah, see you." Kayla waved goodbye and walked out the door. Cathy got to her feet.
"What are you doing?" Ashley questioned. "Don't you dare kill her."
"I won't, trust me," Cathy said. Too bad Ashley didn't trust Cathy one bit.
