Well, I've managed to finish up the parody song based on the recent teaser for Mass Effect 2. After reading countless of posts on the official ME forums, including the speculation about Shepard's demise, I've decided instead of writing up crazy theories about his/her death/life, I've write up a tribute song instead based from Elton John's 'Candle in the wind'. I'm not speculating Shepard's death or anything like that, I'm just looking at the present info what BioWare gave us.
Thinking about it, I feel tempted to sing it and post it on YouTube someday... but when I can shape up my vocal box first.
Anyways, enjoy.
Disclaimer: Candle in the wind belongs to Elton John and ME stuff is from BioWare.
Goodbye Commander Shepard
Though I never knew you at all
You had a gun that was cold as hell
Made my skin crawled
You are the first human spectre
They set you up on galactic spotlight
And Conrad spell out your name
And it seems to me you tugged the wrong collar
Now you got rickrolled by the geth
Never knowing what fate falls on you
As doomsday crash in
And I would like to be in your shoes just once more
But the teaser screwing our heads again
Now we're whining on the web.
Diplomacy is hard
You almost snapped when your Starship is locked
Then Udina is knocked out of cold
As you mutiny the Normandy
Then you get laid in space
The peak of your career is on fox news
You decide to talk with your fist
And it seems to me you lived your life
By making Saren shoot himself
So much for the goose chase around the Skyllian Verge
Your survival from the falling debris
Is thrown into the bin
But BioWare telling us to save our game
Our heads are messed up again.
Goodbye Commander Shepard
May you ever grow in our hearts
While BioWare knows how to push buttons
Turning the net into a cesspool
Goodbye Commander Shepard
A piece is missing from a harden gamer's heart
We'll missed the wings of the Normandy
Making us looking like softies
And it seems to me you tugged the wrong collar
Now you got rickrolled by the geth
Never knowing what fate falls on you
As doomsday crash in
And I would like to be in your shoes just once more
But the teaser screwing up our heads again
Now we're whining on the web.
