Chapter :1

Dan walked slowly down the street gripping Serena's hand tight. He looked over into her eyes and whispered "I love you" into her ear as he leaned in to give her a kiss on the cheek.

Serena smiled and whispered "As do I " to Dan as he pulled away gently. He smiled as well.

As they turned the corner to Serena's building they walked even slower, they loved every minute with each other they didn't want to speed things up. They slowly walked the stairs as the doorman opened the door for them. "Thank you Steve" The two said in unison.

They walked to the elevator then turned to look at each other. "Want to take the stairs" Serena said happily. Dan smiled " Of course " Dan replied.

When they reached the top of the stairs they frowned knowing there time together today was about at it's end. Dan reached for the door knob but before he could get his hand on it, it opened. There standing infront of them was Rufus avccompanied by Lily.

"Mom, what is Dan's dad doing here ?" Serena asked looking at Rufus as he finished buttoning his shirt slowly. "Umm... Serena we umm..." Lily began.

"Dad, Why are you here?" Dan asked begining to get angered.

"Dan, umm...see Lily and I umm..." Rufus began looking down at lily. Her smile grew cold and she froze in place.

"See, Lily and I are..." Rufus began as Eric interrupted "Mom and Rufus are seeing each other. I walked in as they were entering Mom's room".

"WHAT !?" Serena and Dan screamed angrily.

"Mom how could you ? You promised." Serena screamed.

"Dad as did you" Dan screamed at his father.

"Serena I am sorry but, I love Rufus and the feelings just won't go away" Lily muumured.

"So mom, You could have kept Rufus instead you chose money mom." Serena angrily screamed.

"You can't get everything you want mother. You lost Rufus mom, You lost him for money you could have chose him but, you didn't and you can't have him now." Serena Screamed.

"Mom, Dan and I are in love and we always will be... as a matter of fact we were coming to tell you were getting married." Serena said throwing her hand in her mother's face.

"Dan, why didn't you tell me you were proposing to Serena ?" Rufus asked unsure.

"Because you wouldn't listen, I told you eight times Dad. EIGHT TIMES !!" Dan yelled.

"What ?" Rufus responded scratching his head.

"Yea dad, Eight Times!! Jenny was getting peed off that I kept telling you." Dan screamed.

Serena looked up at Dan and smiled. She was glad he talked about marrying her so much. Then, she looked back down to her mother in disgust. Then she looked up to Rufus and shook her head. "How could you ?" She screamed breaking past them and into her room. Dan followed, looking at both of them. " You to should be ashamed of yourselves." Dan said disgusted.

Dan walked into Serena's bedroom to find her lying on her bed with a pillow over her face crying furiously.

"Serena honey, let's run. Let's go. Let's get out of this place." Dan said walking over to her.

Serena looked up and smiled...
