Blaine drives Kurt to the airport in Columbus. They spend two hours singing along to the radio and talking. Finally, the moment Blaine has been dreading comes along. They have arrived at the airport. They walk as far as they can until they hit the security check point area, and only Kurt can go beyond that point.

"You're going to call me when you land, right?" Blaine asks.

"I'll text you. I just want to go home and pass out," Kurt says.

"And I'll come out and visit you on spring break?"

"Blaine," Kurt says.

"I'm visiting you."

"Let's see where we are at spring break, okay?"

"Kurt, we'll be back together."

"You're so sure."

"Yes, I am. You know, it kind of seems like you might have forgiven me even though you haven't said anything."

"I have forgiven you. I'm not mad. Still kind of hurts if I think about it too much, though."

"That's okay. I can wait until it doesn't hurt anymore, and I plan to do a lot more making up for what I did even when it stops hurting."

"Blaine, I'm see—"

"You're seeing someone. Adam, right?" Kurt nods. "Well, you can fool around with Adam at school while I'm waiting to get there. When I see you again, and you're still not in love with him, maybe you'll realize that we're meant to be together."

Kurt looks away. "What if I don't?"

"Then I'll wait until you do. I can wait for you, Kurt. The past two days have been the best days I've had since we broke up."

"Well, it was really good sex," Kurt says.

"It's not just the sex, Kurt. It's…it's you. God, this sounds so stupid, but it'syou. Your spirit, your presence. Just being around you makes me feel lighter, better. Everything gets easier when you're around because I know I'm not alone. You're there and I feel like I can do anything because I have someone who will catch me if I fall. When you're not here sometimes it feels like I'm drowning, you know?"

Kurt feels his throat tighten and just nods.

Blaine looks down and shrugs. "I don't know, maybe you don't feel that because I betrayed your trust. You're the braver one anyway."

"Don't ever think you're not brave, Blaine Anderson, and I do. I feel that way when you're around still. I feel like I shouldn't, but I do."

Blaine smiles. "We're not just friends, Kurt. We'll always be friends, but we'll never be just friends. We'll be together, Kurt. Maybe this spring or maybe not until next spring or when you turn 25 and realize that you're wasting time with other guys. Whatever. It doesn't matter. What matters is the end of the story. We're getting an Allie and Noah ending, and you should just accept that."

"I should go," Kurt says. They hug and Kurt turns around and starts to walk away. When he is a few yards away, he looks back at Blaine who gives a little wave.

"Oh, what the hell," Kurt says to himself. He turns on his heel and quickly walks back towards Blaine. "One for the road?" he calls.

Blaine breaks out in a grin as Kurt lets go of his suitcase to wrap his arms around Blaine's neck. They kiss and for once, Kurt doesn't care that they're in a public place with lots of people. He just cares about memorizing the way Blaine's lips feel against his own, the way Blaine's hands feel against his back and the way Blaine smells. God, he misses wearing a shirt that smells like Blaine.

Eventually Kurt has to pull away. "I'll see you soon."

Blaine is beaming. "Yes, you will."
