The lad, after receiving applause and standing ovations turned around to see the lass he once loved... and still loves. He nodded at her statement. She was so happy she saw him after five years. Nothing changed, except his physical features matured even more... but the cold stare kept itself stored in his eyes.
"What are you supposed to do when you fall in love with someone you can never have, Kahoko?"
She stared blankly. She knew what he meant. He can never have her. She tried to stop her tears, but for some reason it fell unexpectedly-I mean- unwanted. If he wasn't going to fight for her, she will fight for him. She'll try.
"Remember me? I once meant everything to you." She said smiling, but tears keep on falling, as if her eyes never wanted to stop. She wanted to blame herself for keeping the emotions all to herself not to anyone, even her family.
"I can tell by your tears that you'll remember it all; this is my last goodbye." He walked past her, hiding those cerulean orbs now revealing his real emotions. The cold stare was gone, replaced by sadness, angst.
She tried once again, still fighting for everything they have years ago. It's funny because she cries, not because love ends. But because it continues... even if it's over.
"It is better to lose your pride with someone you love rather than to lose that someone you love with your useless pride!" She shouted, trembling.
He wanted her to start anew, to be happy with someone who can give her more than she can give. He had thought this time would come- the tears, the confrontation- but he's desperate. He can't give her what she deserves. He prepared his eyes, the coldest stare ever. He turned around once more, this time to face her one last time.
"In my book of mistakes, loving you would be the longest chapter."
He slammed the door, she cried.
"It's been along since I fell for you. It kills me inside because I can feel, I am still falling. But this time, I am falling alone." She had enough. He had hurt her so bad, had inflicted a wound so deep it would take years to heal.
But he's wrong, wrong, wrong. He left a cut in her heart it tore herself apart, never wanting to got up again and face the world. "The worst feeling in the world is when you can't love anyone else, because your heart still belongs to the one who broke it."
