Charlie's Message in a Bottle

Charlie doesn't know what to say to his family. There's so much he could say, so much that needs to be said, but all he's got is a scrap of paper and a bottle.

He thinks about saying he loves them, after all isn't that what you should do in these situations. But the words feel empty and he decides it's a bad idea.

He wants to tell them that he's clean, but you can't put that in a note. Anyway, they'd probably jump to the conclusion that he just ran out of drugs. No, that he needed to say in person.

He could tell them about Claire, that she's the most amazing woman he's ever met, and he's helping her raise Aaron. He could tell them he loves her, he almost died for her and he killed a man to protect her.

But instead he just tells them he's alive.
