Alfred glanced at the phone debating whether to call or not. It had been almost a year since their battle and the American had been sitting next to the phone for about three hours now listing the pros and cons of calling his English friend over and over in his head. He finally picked up the phone and dialed the number only to have the phone go to voicemail almost right away "hey Iggy dude!" America practically yelled into the phone
"Just like call me back!"
He hung up and re-dialed the number. This time Arthur answered
"What the hell do want?!"
He barked into the phone
"Hey dude, can you like come over?"
America asked rather quietly
"Why would I do that you git?" England's words were usually harsh but Alfred knew that he didn't mean them, and he hoped to prove that tonight.
"Because I liked asked you to" the grammatically troubled American said. He heard Arthur sigh on the other end of the phone then finally say
"Fine, I'll be over in 20" the brit hung up.
America quickly put down the phone and quickly picked up wanting to impress England for probably the first time in his life. After he finished he brushed his hair wanting to look his best, he even took off his bomber jacket and military outfit and put on a pair of blue jeans and a plain white button up shirt. Not the best match but he looked good enough. Alfred heard a knock and rushed to open the door.
"Iggy!" he squealed "you came!"
The brit gave him an annoyed glare and stepped inside "yes I came you git, I am a gentleman and keep my word no matter how much it pains me"
America couldn't help but laugh at this which earned him another glare from his gentleman.
"Why did you want me to come over here? I'm very busy and don't have very much time."
"I was hoping we could talk" America said now quite nervous about the whole situation
"Alright" England sighed sitting on the couch "let's talk"
America sat down next to him and looked him in the eyes
"You were right" he finally said.
For a second Arthur was extremely confused. For one he had absolutely no idea what Alfred was talking about, and second, it wasn't like America to admit that he was wrong about something.
"Do you need money?" he asked, thinking this would be the most probable thing "because I'm sorry but when it comes to financial matters I'm afraid I can't help you"
"No, no. I'm doing fine financially…"
"Weapons?"
"No"
"Well you must need something" the brit said looking at Alfred. America looked into the emerald eyes in front of him and started to tear up, surprising them both. "You" Alfred finally said
"Excuse me?" England said quite confused "I'm not su-"
He was cut off by the sound of the young Americans sobs
"I…I-I-I'm s-sorry" he finally said through his sobs "y-you were r-r-right." He finally calmed down and said "I remember what you said to me. Before I left you in the rain after our battle. I remember how you said I would eventually come back for you."
England started to tear up as well. He looked into those big sapphire eyes that used to be full of joy and wonder and now were tired and full of dread. "It's true" Alfred continued "I do need you" he smiled a sad smile and wiped his cheeks getting rid of the leftover tears "in more ways than you know Iggy"
Arthur couldn't stand it anymore. He leaned forward and planted a soft kiss on America's lips, pulling away after a few seconds. Both of them blushed. "You" the blonde brit cleared his throat "you don't have to kiss me back..." Alfred knew exactly what he meant. He held Arthur's chin and looked him in the eyes "Arthur, I love you" with that he kissed the Englishman, both of them slightly hesitant at first. After about 3 seconds Arthur wrapped his arms around Alfred's neck and deepened the kiss, they continued for about 2 minutes before pulling away and looked at each other. Lust in there, they went upstairs without a word till they got to the bed...
