Long ago, in the land of Narnia, four rulers sat on the thrones. High King Peter, King Edmund, Queen Susan and Queen Lucy. Their rule was named as The Golden Age. And it was truly golden, Narnians lived happily, enemies were kept at bay and new allies came everyday. No darkness could destroy Narnia. No hate could take down their rulers, and Fell Creatures hated that. And promised their fallen Queen to break Narnia once in for all but could never achieve it.
The history books told the tales of High King Peter, The Magnificent and how all enemies feared him, how he defeated the Giants of the North and helped defeat the White Witch. It was said that High King Peter brought kindness and prosperity to the land and that he always was protecting his family. How brave he was and how fearless he used to be. He was the true leader of those times, and no one could refuse him, no one could beat him. No one could break them. He was the one that Aslan himself blessed.
Tales spoke of the cunning and tricks that King Edmund, The Just had. How his schemes always ended in victories, how enemies used to understimate him and paid the price. He was the one that broke the White Witch's wand and almost sacrificed himself for that. It was said that King Edmund was not what he seemed to be, he was not like his brother. He was calmed, he was low-key but he was braver than any man you met. And nothing could scare him with his family by his side.
Stories said about Queen Susan, The Gentle's powers. How she could make any army tremble in fear with just looking at them. Great at archery, she could easily behead anyone, but she was truly gentle. She cared about her family more than anyone did, she could do whatever for them and always love them. It was said that she was the most logical and kind of queens. She was not only dangerous but she was dangerous with a smile.
Songs were made about Queen Lucy, The Valiant. And how she was the first to be at Narnia, how she never lost faith on Aslan, how she was one of the first to see The Great Lion, how she had the most faith in him and could trust him with her live and those of her family. But she was also a fierce warrior that in the face of danger could be deadly. She was braver than most men you saw, she could go to hundred in a minute and more if you threatened her family.
It was truly golden their rule. But without any warning it came to a sudden stop. No history book says how, but it said about a battle and two rulers. One dead and the other changed forever. But no one knew who was who. They knew that a new threat arose from the ashes of the kings and queens's rule. A threat that was so wicked that darkness was his middle name.
The Fox He was called, because he was sly and manipulated people as his wish. No one knew who he was, or what he was, the only thing it was known about The Fox was that he was a male that enjoyed pain. And that he was immortal.
And soon, all Narnia perished at the rule of The Fox. Millions of lives lost to the tricks he had, he took everything from others and the poors souls couldn't take it anymore and ended their lives. It was the Dark Age and no one could stop it. It was until a brave man called Jack stepped forward and brought Narnia to a revolution. It was said that The Fox died in battle and King Jack brought back light to the land. And darkness was again at bay, until a day. Centuries after The Fox's defeat, a young boy named Caspian was walking in The Western Wood and a chuckle was heard and within a cold whisper smiled.
'A fox never truly leaves.'
